A Dish Best Served Cold (The Man In Rage) novel Chapter 2366

Ye Fan led his relatives to Indra Sacred Mountain.

The area was surrounded by a range of mountains and was teeming with lush vegetation.

Various poisonous insects and beasts lived within.

In the heart of the forest, the miasma hung even more heavily.

The crowd, initially filled with joy, recoiled at the sight of the living conditions, with many choosing to back out.

“Ye Fan, we won't be hiding in these deep mountains forever, will we? If that's truly the case, I'd rather be outside, consumed by the Universe Tree.”

Accustomed to a life of privilege, Ye Jian naturally couldn't tolerate such harsh conditions and immediately began to complain.

Ye Fan gave him a casual glance, without offering any kind words.

“You can go back now. I won't stop you.”

Ye Fan never enjoyed forcing someone to do something.

He only saved those who deserved to be saved.

If some people failed to recognize what was good for them, then even if they were his own kin, he would not insist on forcing them. He would let them fend for themselves.

“I...”

Ye Jian's face contorted.

Upon sensing the tense atmosphere, Ye Jian's father, Ye Ya, immediately reprimanded his own son, “You ungrateful brat, don't you know what's good for you? Ye Fan brought you here to escape the apocalypse because he cares about you. If it were a stranger, would they care whether you live or die?”

Yet Ye Jian felt somewhat wronged. “But Father, I know Ye Fan meant well. But how are we supposed to live in such a desolate wilderness? Are we expected to live like cavemen?”

Ye Ya glared at him. “You're still complaining, huh?”

Immediately, Ye Jian lowered his head, not daring to utter a word.

Right then, Ye Fan's uncle, Ye Tian, reassured them, “Rest assured. Ye Fan must have thought of all your concerns long ago. He surely has a foolproof plan and won't let us live like cavemen. Isn't that right, Ye Fan?”

Ye Tian was a shrewd individual.

He was actually worried that he might end up hiding in these desolate mountains forever as well.

However, he didn't complain; instead, he chose to inquire in a different manner.

Ye Fan did not respond.

He led the group and continued to move forward.

The group that Ye Fan had brought along was not large, consisting only of some of his relatives, as well as Xu Lei, Junie, and Noa.

Of course, this was just the first batch. Ye Fan would continue to help them migrate in stages afterward.

As they ventured further into the mountains, the confidence of Ye Jian and Ye Tian progressively diminished.

They were obviously in fear that Ye Fan had led them to a scary place.

However, the women had no worries.

They had all been followers of Ye Fan for many years. They chose to believe in him unconditionally.

After traveling for half a day, Ye Fan led the group to a halt in a valley.

“We've arrived,” Ye Fan softly uttered.

“Here?” Ye Jian glanced around at his surroundings, feeling somewhat desolate.

How do one survive in this place?

The expressions on the faces of Ye Tian and Ye Ya, among others, were somewhat hard to read. “Ye Fan, are you... are you serious?”

Not to mention the surrounding area was teeming with poisonous insects and wild beasts, the key problem was that there wasn't even a single house. Eating, drinking, and taking care of one's basic needs were all problematic.

Just when everyone was starting to lose heart, Ye Fan stared into the void before him and said, “Wan'er, lead us inside.”

Ye Fan's words left everyone stunned.

Wan'er? Who's Wan'er?

Towering mountains lay before them.

Where else could they go?

Ye Jian and the others were somewhat bewildered.

They wondered if they were hallucinating, or if Ye Fan was hallucinating.

Or could it be that this place before their eyes held a hidden mystery?

Just as everyone was filled with astonishment and doubt, a woman's voice echoed out of nowhere.

“All right, Ye Fan.”

That gentle voice seemed to echo from the depths of the void.

Everyone immediately began to look around, trying to locate the source of the sound.

But it was precisely at this moment, they felt a tremendous suction force in front of them. Following that, the fabric of time and space shifted.

Ye Jian and the others felt as if the world was spinning around them.

By the time they regained their footing, they realized they were in a completely different world.
