A Girl Adopted by Wolves novel Chapter 16

As soon as I got home, I packed my stuff for the beach. I told Ryder and papa about my plans. Ryder is happy as long as it is not the Knights I am hanging out with. Ryder dropped me off at the back of the school. Its five minutes to three right now. Aaron pulled in at exactly three. Someone's punctual. I ran towards his car and got in. I turned my head towards him and he was grinning like an idiot like before. Well this isn't creepy.

"Are you going to kill me and dump me in the ocean?" I asked him in mock horror.

"Is it that obvious?" he asked seriously. But I can clearly see the amusement in his eyes.

"If you kill me, I will haunt your ass for eternity." I said poking my tongue at him.

"Fine by me." He said grinning.

And with that we laughed out loud like crazy.

Aaron continued grinning at me," I am so excited for our little picnic, you can't even imagine. I just wanted to spend some time with only you."

"Yeah me too." I said copying his grin. He is starting to grow on me.

We reached the beach in about half an hour. Not the beach exactly, but the cliff. So he was serious about cliff jumping. It looks like a dead end but theirs are trees everywhere, so the cars can't go any further. It's cold here. I would prefer diving with a few sweaters on if that’s an option. Aaron got out of the car and started stripping to his swim trunks which he was wearing underneath his cloths. I removed my t-shirt and jeans. I am now in a black sports bra and black tights that reached a little above mid-thigh. I never liked swim suits, I don't know why. The pack symbol on my shoulder is clearly visible now, but I covered it with my hairs. Thanks to my long hairs. We shoved our cloths in the car and ran towards the end of the cliff. It's not that high, maybe a height of a three storey building. We looked at each other grinning. I was about to jump but Aaron held my hand.

"Can we talk first?" he asked nervously. Is he alright?

"Sure." This looks really serious by the face he is making.

We sat down at the edge of the cliff, our feet dangling in air. He took a deep breath.

"You remember the first day of the school, in the canteen?" he said twisting his fingers nervously.

"Off course I remember those butt holes bullying you. I seriously wanted to beat the shit out of them. But what about them?" I asked confused.

"You know why they used to bully me?" he asked.

"Because they are gits.” I said with a lop-sided grin. “Did you murder his cat or what? Because I will bully you too if you killed mine." I said in mock horror.

He laughed, but it sounded forced.

"Everything started last year. They started bullying me. My friends turned their backs on me. My family loved me anyway. Then you showed up and saved me from getting beaten by them." He said looking straight ahead towards the vast sky.

"Why did everyone do that?" I asked, angry and confused at the same time.

"Promise me you won't leave me too after I tell you this. I know I sound selfish right now but I think you should know the reason behind everything before it's too late." He said uncomfortably.

"I promise not to leave you ever. Even if you want to get rid of me, that won’t be happening." I said raising three fingers in the air.

He took a deep breath and blurted out," I am gay."

There was a long silence. I was waiting for him to say something. But nothing. He was looking down at his hands. I should just encourage him to talk.
