A Girl’s Diary novel Chapter 43

"Aurora, that's crazy!" I tried to reason with her. We agreed we'd never try anything like this. "We can't reveal anything related to my personal life; that will just blow my cover." I wrapped my arms around myself.

"Not when paparazzi take pics of Elena and Thomas fighting then kicked out and magically Elena is nowhere to be seen." When she put it like that, it did sound bad.

"But there must be a way around this, we can come up with something else."

"Like what, Cinnamon got a cat!" She rolled her eyes making me sigh. She was frustrated but so was I! "I already talked to Ron. You can choose to do this or find yourself another manager other than me." She said with such finality in her eyes then got up and left me to my scattered thoughts.

She talked to Ron? Was that why he didn't talk to me all that time? He found someone more famous than Elena? Did he really just leave me to fake date Cinnamon?!

I tasted my salty tears on my lips before I realized I was crying.

I got my phone out, the one I used as Elena, and texted Ron.

I was breaking him the way he just broke my heart. He couldn't be trusted... I knew this but decided to just ignore it. It was time I made him pay and actually got with someone who cared about me.

With that in mind, I texted him.

Me: There's no easy way to put this but we need to break up. I thought I liked you but it was before I met someone else... sorry

His reply was almost instantly.

Ron: WHAT? Where are you now? Let's talk about this

Ron: Please...

I was about to shed a new set of tears but held them back and went to fix my smeared makeup before I put my mask back and went to meet the jerk.

He wanted to date Cinnamon? Well then, he'd get her alright!

As I headed out, I heard Harry telling the other security members that a high school kid broke into my room and they sent him to the police station.

Louis suddenly popped in my mind. Could it be?

I listened more and the description fitted him like a glove! I smirked to myself. That was a sight to see... maybe snap a few pics right?

Maybe I should help him too while I was at it? Nah, a reasonable person would just leave him there.

But then again was I a reasonable person?

I decided to get a second opinion on the matter.

Me: Tommy do you think I'm reasonable?

Tommy; No! Definitely not! But why?

Me: I'm going to get Louis out of jail!

I laughed menacingly. Aurora was going to be so pissed off I took off like that! Oh well!

I could go get Louis he'd owe me. Then talk to Ron about dating Cinnamon and make the big entrance at the party together!

Sounded like the worst perfect plan!!

The second I entered I saw him nagging a police officer. I smirked seeing him.

I made my way towards the officer who was talking to him and asked if he needed a lawyer or something. Turned out he only needed to pay a fine which he didn't have on him now and someone to sign the papers. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

I did everything but before the officer could let him out, I needed a selfie with him in handcuffs behind the bars. So, I went on and took a selfie!

Louis's face was priceless. He looked so confused!

"Stop looking like an amazed goldfish and let's get out of here." I shook my head chuckling while the officer was taking his handcuffs off.

"What exactly is going on?" He asked still too confused.

"I paid the fine." I rolled my eyes. "But if you do one more idiotic thing, I'm not going to save your ass again. Got it?"

Why did this feel like I was scolding a child?

He nodded frantically.

"One more thing," I said turning on my heels. "You owe me."

"Sure, let's go bow. I'll take you home." He offered.

"Nah, thanks, I have somewhere to go." I turned around to leave waving before he could ask any further questions.

"See you at school then," I heard him say before we parted ways.

On my way to the party place, I couldn't stop thinking about the inevitable. I had to face Ron. At least, now I had a mask on too. We were both fake now!

When I arrived, I did my own makeup again since I wasn't about to let anyone see me sneaking around, put my dress and mask on and waited for Ron to show up where I told him we were going to meet.

He showed up just on time.

"You know what I want to discuss with you, right?" I spoke with a strong voice.

Conceal it, dont feel it, don't let it show.

He merely nodded. "What do you want me to do?"

I knew he wasn't to be trusted.

"We'll just do simple things for the paps. Make an entrance to the party together, hold hands and maybe a peck on the cheeks. Nothing too drastic and I'll handle the questions." I said with confidence.

"Okay, but..." He trailed before he continued talking. "I have a girlfriend, so, we can't get too deep in this."

As if I wanted something with you, jackass!

I nodded before smiling innocently then we left to the party. I could already hear the music playing inside.

It was now or never!

I nearly closed my eyes in an attempt to shut my thoughts off.

We were just about to make the big entrance when I stopped suddenly... trying to collect my thoughts for a moment, only then noticing the tight feeling in my chest.

This was a huge risk... but risk was part of the game.
