A Pigeon Pair: Sweetheart, Let's Get Married novel Chapter 192

Twenty minutes later, Maverick arrived at the Farley's with Hendrix.

On the way, Maverick had already gotten to know everything.

Edmond's sudden disappearance was not a coincidence. Everly had guessed correctly before. Because of what happened yesterday, Maverick did not send too many people to follow Everly and Edmond today.

Besides, Sarah's matter had come to an end before. Now it was an internal problem of Lamont Group. And the media would not be too exaggerated.

That's why Maverick did not send too many people to protect them.

When Everly left, the bodyguards followed her out secretly.

So, when Edmond was taken out to buy ice cream, he disappeared just like that. Nobody could find any clues.

Hendrix and Maverick had already sent people out to search. Maverick directly contacted Lawrence. Lawrence had many friends working in the police station. Lawrence was also doing the same work. It was more convenient for Lawrence to find Edmond.

After doing all of this, it seemed like they could only sit and wait.

Maverick was restless.

Maverick was not sure who was behind this, but there weren't many people he could suspect.

Hendrix and Maverick were waiting in the study room. Because they were too impatient, they smoked one cigarette after another.

The entire study was shrouded in smoke, and their expressions were solemn.

When Everly came in with red eyes, the ashtray beside Maverick was already filled with cigarette butts.

"Any news?" It was already midnight. Parrish and Gloria were in the room, and they probably couldn't sleep either. Everly wasn't sleepy though she was really tired, she came in to ask for news.

Maverick got up and walked in front of her, "Didn't I ask you to go and rest? If there is any news, I will tell you immediately."

Hendrix also sighed, "Yes, Everly, it's not good for you to just wait like this. The two of us were enough. Don't worry, we're already been searching inch-by-inch. In such a short time, nobody can bring Edmond out of City C. Edmond must still be there."

When Hendrix said this, Everly was even more scared.

Everly's voice was hoarse, "Edmond has never experienced such a thing. He is only five years old. I am really scared. It is all my fault. It is all my fault..."

Seeing her like this, Maverick felt even more guilty. He held Everly in his arms and gently comforted her, "It's not your fault. I will find our son. If it is someone's fault, it must be me. You go and rest first. Be good. It will be bad if your body collapses first when Edmond is back. I promise you, no matter what, I will let our son comes back safely."

Maverick was swearing to himself, promising himself.

Everly knew that Maverick was a man with courage.

Maverick had his aura.

If he said so, he would make it happen.

And, Everly was more willing to believe that Maverick would do it.

"Edmond can't lose half a hair, make sure he comes back safely," Everly requested in a low voice.

"Okay, I promise."

Everly also knew that if she continues staying here, Maverick and Hendrix had to constantly comfort her, and then at most, tell her to go to rest.
