Everly felt that she was thinking too much.

Everyone knew that Maverick was difficult to get along with.

She tried to calm down. "Then why did you drag me in?"

"I thought you really want to come in."

"Yes. I'm in the room now. Can you look at our proposal?"

"I don't talk business after work. You are quite bold when you came to my room. Do you know that I can call the police and arrest you?" Maverick said with a strange half laugh. He didn't seem to be that cold and fierce now, but he was still very intimidating.

Everly finally understood it. Someone was looking for Maverick. Maverick didn't want to see the person, but he couldn't break the relationship. Therefore, he wanted to drive the person away in this way.

The doorbell rang rapidly again. The person outside seemed to get impatient.
