Chapter 45 

Alpha James was speechless by the way his son was thinking. How could this young man was his son, someone who had stopped the war between the werewolf and the lycan, the person, who had killed the previous alpha lycan, when he couldn’t even think thoroughly about the consequences of his action. 

Not to mention his mate. She should be the voice of reason, but actually, she was the mastermind behind. this silly scheme. 

“Do you want to go to war with the lycan?!” alpha James roared, while luna Jasmine sat silently, tears streamed down her face. “Do you think the other five alphas will support you?! They want the war ended. and get their mate back! What is wrong with you?! Do you really thing they will go through losing their pack member again because of your stupidity?!” 

*Then what are you going to do, father?! Will you let mother be humiliated in public?! Being lashed at hundred times?! How could you do that?!” Aiden barked back t his father. He couldn’t think rationally. 

“What else?! What else you can do?! If you can make such ridiculous scheme against the alpha lycan, try to make the same plan to get your mother out of here!” 

Both father and son snarled at each other, they looked like they were going for cach other’s throat and the sight broke Juna Jasmine’s heart. She knew what she had done was wrong, but she only wanted the best for her son. 

“You should be ashamed of yourself.” alpha James hissed viciously, after a heavy silence between them and how they glared at one another. “You can’t even keep your dick inside your pants and caused this trouble! If you can be loyal, all of this will not happen! You don’t deserve any respect!” 

The words that alpha James said hit Aiden so hard, because he used to idolize his father, but right now, he degraded him in such a way, which made him unable to say a word. 

“Enough!” Luna Jasmine finally spoke, she stood up and stared at her mate with disappointment for what he just said. “How can you say something like that to our son?!” 

“He needs to know why we are in this situation! We will not be here and you don’t need to pull silly scheme if he didn’t mess up in the first place!”

Luna Jasmine looked dejected and Aiden came to her to console his mother 

“Don’t talk to mother like that!” Aiden hissed, but luna Jasmine held him closely, she tried to calm her son. She didn’t want him to fight his own father or ruined the relationship between them. 

“I will take the punishment,” luna Jasmine said in trembling voice. It was not the pain that she feared the most, but rather the humiliation that would come after. 

“I will take the punishment for you, mother,” Aiden said determinedly, 

Yet, a second latter, luna Jasmine’s eyes lit up. “No. I have an idea… she gritted his teeth. “But, you need to help me to convince the other alphas, James,” 

“Are you going to try to convince them to go into a war with you? I have told you…” Alpha James had not yet finished his sentence when his mate cut him off icily. 

No. Luna Jasmine’s jaw hardened. “I have a plan to avoid the punishment. This is not only my fault. 

There is someone else at fault here.” 

He might not be able to avoid the punishment completely, but at the very least, she still could save her reputation. 

The punishment would be delivered within an hour and it would happen in the public area, in the town square, where right now, people started to gather. They were trying to figure out whether the rumor was true if the luna had schemed against Lilac so her son could sleep with her, in order to humiliate the alpha lycan, since he wanted the ex mate of her son. 

Within a short time, the rumors that circulated around became more and more confusing, where it went astray from the truth, but people like drama. 

“You can’t get him. I don’t think you will be able to get her either.” Lilac stared at the distance from the window of the carriage, where Hunter was sipping his drink casually. 

The plan was; after they witnessed the punishment for luna Jasmine they would go straight away to the lycan pack and this would be the last time Lilac was in her pack. 

“I know, I have made a wrong calculation and underestimated your luna, but how she can get away from this? Please, enlighten me.” Hunter was pissed off when the result was not as he expected. He really wanted to see the death of Aiden, so Lilac would stop thinking about her ex mate. 

This woman was romanticizing the mate bond and it didn’t sit well with him at all. He wanted to eradicate anything that could make her second guess herself for being away from this pack.
