Blood Oath: Forever Yours novel Chapter 14

Charlotte glared at Evelyn with her reddened eyes, and it was at this moment that she wished she could bite her neck off so that her blood would splatter all over.

Unfortunately, she could not bring herself to do that as Evelyn had always known how to touch her sore spot, and all she could do no matter how many times she had experienced things likes this was to succumb to her.

“I’m sorry, Evelyn. This is all my fault.”

Charlotte opened her mouth and pleaded guilty to all the accusations, “I shouldn’t have given up on the man whom have loved me and shacked up with other guys, and it is my fault that Dad has been bed ridden all these years. After being treated as a plaything by all these men for the past five years and being dumped, I have finally realized how well you all have treated me and how undeserving I am! I have truly regretted my decision!”

Her body trembled all over as she got down on her knees while facing the direction of the Garcia Mansion, “I have been blinded to have mistaken the bad guy for the good guy, and it was all because of my incompetence and uselessness that my father and brother have to suffer right now. It was also because of me that the Garcia family have come to this plight. Everything’s my fault. Death should come to me!”

Although the crowd might not be able to decipher Charlotte’s words, Evelyn was in the know about the meaning behind her desperate screams.

She felt that Charlotte had crumbled under the pressure and gone mad, so she instantly halted her, “Enough, Charlotte!”

Evelyn hurriedly stepped out under the umbrella and dragged Charlotte up on her feet as she was afraid that Charlotte would blurt out excessive information that would lead to association with her. She promptly shoved Charlotte to her subordinates beside her as she continued to slap her down, “Your father has informed me before he leaves the country that he would not accept you so you’re none of the Garcia family’s business. You’re not welcomed here, !”

As soon as Evelyn had given her order, Charlotte’s arms were instantly seized by two men from both sides, and they crassly dragged her away from the crowd in no time.

Her cries of despair could still be heard clearly even when she had been dragged far away, “I’m sorry, Dad. It’s all my fault. Everything’s my fault. Dad…”

Her desperate cries had struck everyone’s heart as the anguish and despair in her tone had choked them with grief.

Lawrence slammed down his laptop in extreme fury after hearing her answer, and he immediately picked up the ashtray at hand and smashed it towards the door panel which was not far away. The ashtray was broken into pieces on the ground, and his face was swiftly covered with frost while his brows were furrowed in unrelievable hostility.

Before he had returned to City B, he had even tried to give her a chance by persuading himself that there was more to the incident back then than met the eye. However, she had confessed in person just now that she was indeed a wanton, and that turned out to be her true self behind her mask all along!

A patter of footsteps sounded from the corridor right at that moment, and the door was pushed open by Jeffery soon after as he walked into the office to report to Lawrence, “Ms. Garcia’s blood test report has just come out, Mr. Harris. The result is just the same as what we have in mind. Her blood indeed possesses the ability to heal your face, but…”

Jeffery paused for a second and hesitantly placed the report in front of Lawrence as he continued, “Our employees have limited capabilities to decipher the reason behind Ms. Garcia’s ability to recover your face even though she is not a virgin, and the only person whom could enlighten us, Dr. Daniel, is out travelling at the moment, hence it would be hard to…”

Lawrence stared at the report in front of him with a somber expression on his face while his brows were deeply knitted, and it seemed that he was lost in thought for a while.

“Mr. Harris?”

Jeffery suggested tentatively while looking at Lawrence after not getting any response from him, “Do you want me to dig into Ms. Garcia in private? After all, she is the only few besides the girl whom has given you her virgin blood back then and Ms. Miller that could help you out.”

Lawrence sneered when upon hearing his suggestion, “Investigate her? There’s no need to.” He had already heard the past five years of her life from her own lips through that live broadcast video just now.

Jeffery nodded and promptly raised his gaze towards Lawrence when something else had crossed his mind, “By the way, your grandmother called me today. She reminded me to tell you that she hoped our engagement can be settled down as soon as possible.”
