Boss,I'm Not Your Stand-in Gilrfriend novel Chapter 80

When I heard a young woman calling Gavin, I did not know why I immediately became more alert. I was not about to open the door for her, so I dodged it. "Gavin is on a business trip and not at home."

The woman even said. "I know, the person I'm looking for is you, Darcey."

Suddenly my heart skipped a beat. I had not offended a woman lately. Who would mention my name and come here for revenge? Or would Jeff's people come here to cause trouble once Gavin was gone?

I could not explain why. Then I saw the woman alone. She was beautiful and flirtatious, but also thin and weak. It was hard to tell she was a person who could kill me. I opened the door and asked. "Why are you looking for me?"

The woman's lips twisted into a smile. "What is the matter? Are not you afraid? You were pretty scared earlier, were not you? I thought you were going to call Gavin."

Although it was the first time I had met her, I had a very uneasy feeling. "Who are you?"

The woman raised her eyebrows and looked at me, "Do not you know who I am? A woman who is unable to clearly see the enemy's situation will definitely fail." Then she took out her mobile phone and waved it in front of my eyes. "Well, I better call Gavin back. Let us talk."

"Lunatic!" I did not want to talk to her and was about to close the door, but she suddenly pressed her foot against it.

By this time her phone had rung. Afraid that I would not hear her, she deliberately put it on speaker. "Hello, Gavin, I am back."

The short words suddenly silenced the other side of the line. Looking at the familiar number, I was flustered, remembering only a name, but I was not sure.

Until Gavin asked doubtfully. "Blake?" Now I completely understood.

Gavin said eagerly, "Where are you now?"

Blake smiled slightly, "I am in your house now, but there seems to be a 'hostess' in your house who will not let me in."

Gavin hurriedly hung up after saying, "Wait till I get back." Suddenly, a slight shiver came over me. It turned out that Blake could cause big trouble in Gavin with just a few words. What was the purpose of my existence?

I was in no mood to resist, so I let Blake in. When I saw her sitting on the sofa, the memories of Gavin came back to me.

We have been together, fought, off and on. It turned out that my feelings and trust in Gavin had always been just one-sided wishful thinking.

I dragged my exhausted body back to my room. As I lay on my bed, my mind was blank. And I did not even know what to think.

Blake sat silently outside, wondering if Gavin would blame her for not entertaining the guest properly after he returned, on the condition that Gavin thought she was a guest.

What really surprised me was that it took Gavin less than two hours to get home. He probably chartered a helicopter and flew all the way back to the roof of our building. Just to see Blake, who he had not seen in many years.

But to my relief, when I heard him open the door, he hurried straight into the bedroom to see me. He was worried about me, but I did not know what he was worried about.

I sat up and looked at him with some difficulty. "Why are you back so soon?"

"No, nothing." Gavin still seemed to be in a dream. He held the door handle tightly, not daring to look at the person sitting in the living room. It seemed as if he were afraid of Blake's disappearance.

I came to him and asked, "What's wrong with you? Are you not feeling well?"

Gavin's lips paled and his face grew pale. He held my hand and I dared to turn gradually. When their eyes met, I knew it was time for me to go.

My heart, which was still a little warm just now, was completely destroyed at this moment.

Blake was also excited. She stood up and looked at Gavin. "Gavin, I'm back."

Gavin held his breath for a while. Suddenly, he pointed at me and said. "This is Darcey, my girlfriend."

I was flattered because I thought he would avoid talking about my identity as a girlfriend.

Blake smiled generously, "I know. Miss. Back is a good capable woman. Lydia told me everything."

Blake also knew Lydia. I was shocked to think of Blake, who had once been Gavin's assistant. Since she and Lydia had worked together, it was not surprising that they knew each other or had a good relationship.

I thought of the way Lydia always tended to ignore me. Perhaps it was also because I was someone else's substitute, that she could never think I deserve to be Gavin's girlfriend.

Without leaving a trace, I took my hand from Gavin's. He sat down and greeted Blake, "Have you got used to it? Have you found a place to stay?"

Blake shook her head sheepishly, "Not yet. Have you any good recommendations for me? It's best if it's not too expensive. You should understand that I just got back, and I am short on money, after all."

Gavin thought for a while and agreed. While he was thinking, my heart was beating up to my throat, because I feared that he would really ask Blake to live here.

Blake got the answer and nodded. She remained seated for a while and then said that she was leaving. Gavin said he would see her off, but he did not care what I thought. He took the jacket and walked out with her.

After they left, I sat alone in the empty living room, my heart in turmoil. I did not know if he should continue to live here shamelessly. Gavin obviously did not need me.

Yes, the real master is back. As a substitute, I should really give up the position.

I had, however, been reluctant to part with Gavin. I used to hate him so much. But now I loved him so much that I would love to leave him, but I really could not.

After Gavin came back, he still felt lost. But when he saw how I looked, he forced himself to smile and came to me to reassure me, "What's wrong? Are not you happy?"

I could only lie, "No, I just didn't rest well yesterday." I asked again. "Are you going on a business trip?"

Gavin shook his head and said. "I am too tired today. I have hired someone to keep an eye on him. He'll let me know if there's anything."

I nodded, noticing the weariness in his face. "Are you going to sleep? You woke up so early this morning."

Gavin nodded and smiled again, "Sleep with me. You don't look like you've slept well."

I did not refuse, and fell asleep with him. He soon fell asleep, but I had been awake all the time. He held me in his arms and I felt sore all over.

Gavin, however, slept but only for a while. Suddenly he sat up again and said. "Blake is still at the hotel. It can not go on like this. I should help her find a place to stay first."
