Hardwick's POV

"These elders, I never thought they would behave like a cavalier and even dared to plead for a cunning minx like her" Ryan narrowed his eyes as he spoke.

"They don't have work to do so of course they will do something that can keep them entertained for days" I replied lazily.

"Seriously? What's the end of it?"

"What do you think? Delaney is doomed forever"

"That's good. That woman is dangerous. She could even spill nonsense with perfection. I guess if it was other woman in the place of Luna, she would have run away"

I glared at him "you seem too free this days"

"Don't go there. I would like to live with Jenny peacefully" he raised his hand stopping me.

"That's the point. I never knew you got involved with her. Since when?"

"It's a hard story and I don't want to waste my time narrating it. So I will tell you in shortcut" he suddenly grinned "I always thought why I never got my mate when most of the males in the pack already found one. I was so angry at the moon goddess as well as at myself too. But nearly two months ago I sensed something strange. A faint smell, it was so powerless that if I didn't examined it closely I would have never got my mate. So I traced it hard, then I found it was from Jenny"

"Why does she have such a weak scent?" I frowned.

"Her wolf is weak. She said she couldn't shift in her wolf form except the time she shifted for the first" he shrugged.

"Is it?"

He nodded, confirming.

"You have no problem with that?"

"Why would I? Fuck even if I couldn't see her wolf form but I can feel her. It does not matter whether she is human or wolf. She is my mate and will always be staying mine. No compromises needed in between" he replied proudly.

"I never knew you have such a kind heart"

"Hey! How could you say that? Are you mocking me?" He narrowed his eyes "forget about mine. Let me tell you there's something strange on Bright Shine side" he smirked.

"He is trying to take action?"

"Minus the 'trying'"

"Fuck" I shook my head "that bastard stil had the gut"

"You can't underestimate your enemy"

"Believe me I never did. It's just I didn't expected him to be this fast" though I knew he is still trying to get chance to land his hand on my mate but t never thought he will be taking action so soon. What made him so confident that he could snatch my mate from me?

"What about that woman? What's her name Rosie?" I frowned.

Ryan rolled his eyes "seriously? Can't you even remember a name?"

"Do I look like I care about a woman's name?" I raised an eyebrow giving him a challenge "besides whatever their name is it's their problems. I have nothing to do with it"

"It's Reese for your kind information" Ryan forced a weird smile.

"Thank you" I nodded.

"Avan is not in contact with that woman. In the past Reese was obsessed with him. But recently she got miscarriage and then the relationship between them ended suddenly" he informed.

"Miscarriage? That fucker got her pregnant yet he is still chasing after my mate. That motherfucker once I get my hands on him I will fucking show him what's it's feels like real pain"

"Come down. Even if you want to kill him, you need a proper reason. You can't just kill him without any evidence"

"I don't need any fucking evidence to kill an ant like him" I glared at him.

"You are so cold blooded my buddy. Don't forget it's a clan rule and as an Alpha you can't break it. Are you trying to wash off all the conditions that were made during the formation?"

"I don't care about a fucking formation. If he dares to touch my mate he is doomed to die no matter what he is. Alpha or not" I gritted my teeth. Just the thought of him touching my beautiful mate made my blood boil. I couldn't wait to tear him apart.

"It's not about him this time. I have another news"

"What is it?"

"Saw someone sneaking out of the pack during the night. Using the secret emergency path to escape the border" he threw some photos on the table. My gaze fell on the figure in the photo.

"Her gut is really strong. She won't be giving up soon" Ryan said seriously.

I smirked "since she is so interested then let her be. I would like to see what she is up to"

"You sure?"

"This is the only chance to end everything in one move. I know there's must be some risk that I don't want to take yet I have to if I want it to end once for all"

"Fine, since that's what you want I will help you. I will inform my men to give a good check from far of course. But we also need to hurry up"

I nodded "our enemy is making arrangements then how can we stay behind? Since they are so eager to get what they deserve, who am I to deny it? I will happily grant their wish. Anyway, any news about Ajim?"

"Not yet. It's like he doesn't exist anymore" he shook his head.

"Delaney's betrayal shook him really badly. He left like that, leaving his pair of daughters alone. It's really strange that as a father he seems don't really care about them" I frowned.

"Maybe he thinks it's a better option" Ryan shrugged "his daughters are all minx. Couldn't understand the truth yet lives in their own imagination. What kind of perfect sanity they got, I am amazed really" Ryan showed a mocking smile.

"Place the order, I need to make arrangements fast"

"Got it"

"I am off now" I was about to get up Ryan frowned.

"What do you mean you are off? You said you will be checking around the patrolling area" he smirked.

I checked the time and it's 9 pm. I raised my eyebrows at him. He is doing it deliberately.

"Unless you want me to send you to the patrolling are-"

"It's late, I think you should take some rest. Jenny must be waiting for dinner. I need to go" then in a second Ryan disappeared from the room. I shook my head. That man. Smiling, I got up from the chair and walked towards the door. Finally I can meet my mate.

My smile tarnished the moment when I reached my room. My eyebrows creased when I saw Luina standing at the door. When she saw me coming she bowed with a stiff smile.

"What are you doing here?"

"I.....Master that...." She stammered.

"What are you saying? Say it clearly" I frowned.

"Master I am here because Mistress asked me"

"She did?" Shaking my head I was about to step but Luina stopped me.
