Darling, Don't Get Rid of Me novel Chapter 44

"It's alright." Wesley remained his calm.

He has accustomed to Louisa's willful behavior, and now it is almost a routine for him to eat at Jones's house. He felt at ease when she was absent.

"Wesley, enjoy yourself. The braised fish is specially prepared for you."

Sandra was always kind to Wesley because of her naughty daughter which could be regarded as compensation she did for her daughter.

Wesley nodded and tasted the fish slowly.

Allen chatted with him about some business matters as usual. But Allen's assistant suddenly called him and needed him to go back the company, so he had to leave in a hurry.

Wesley and Sandra were left on the dining table.

Sandra raised the topic back to her daughter in a few words, "Louisa has a little bad temper but she is innocent as she will show her emotions on the face. She is easily coaxed even though she is capricious."

"Yes."

"You know her well since you have grown up with her. We think only you can be our son-in-law. Jones Group and Pop Culture can join hands together for the future when you two get married."

Wesley put down his chopsticks, and his deep eyebrows gradually show indifference. "Auntie, Jones is different from Pop Culture. They have their own development plans. They will be weaker if they are combined with each other. I think they should remain what they are even though I get married with Louisa. "

"And I can accept any out-of-line behaviors Louisa makes. I will marry her but do not want anyone to interfere in my affairs."

Sandra gradually froze her smile on her face with a strange curve of her lips.

"I do not understand what you said."

"Auntie, I think I said it clearly enough."

Wesley's eyes swept across Sandra's face like the blowing cold air.

They were all smart and didn't have to express themselves bluntly. She knew Wesley's warning actually but even though it was neither her or her daughter's fault, she felt guilty because of his aggressive words.

"Wesley, since you have said such words to me, I can only show you something to let you know that I am not interfering with you, but help you recognize someone's true feature."

Sandra showed him a contract seriously.

At the end of the contract, Wesley saw Harriet's signature. He knew it was her handwriting.

"Wesley, I know men are easy to be obsessed with active young beautiful girls. But those little girls are only thinking about hooking up a rich man before they graduate from college, so that they can spend the rest of their lives with no worries. What they truly love is the money."

"Ah?"

"Her personal signature is on the contract and there is the 500 thousand bank transferring record. You can see that she will leave you for five million dollars. How can such a woman be sincere to you? So your relationship will not last long."

"You mean she only loves my money?"

"It's no doubt."

"If I had no money, would she leave me immediately?"

"She would leave you as fast as she could till that time."

Wesley slowly closed the file, calmly as always, "What about you? If I don't have money, will you let Louisa marry me?"

He seemed to be asking an extremely ordinary question.

Sandra was stunned. She did not expect Wesley who had always been sensible and objective would ask such a question. She had already missed the best answer time and revealed her inner true thoughts for her silence.

Wesley didn't take it seriously, "Auntie, I never expect any true love."

Sandra would like to say something for several times but she did not know what to say.
