Darling, Don't Get Rid of Me novel Chapter 65

“Dad, what are you talking about?” Louisa immediately interrupted her father who was immersing in joy.

She thought that they would announce something big else. It turned out that they just told all the guests that she was gonna get married with Wesley Smith in public.

She regretted that she did what her mom was told. What she never expected was that every single family member united to deceive her.

Allen Jones was blue in a n instant.

“Louisa, don’t talk nonsense. We’ve all agreed on this before.”

“What? All agreed before? It was you two that kept talking about it. I never said yes. If I have to marry him, you should make me agree it.”

Louisa didn’t save his face and said loudly.

Seeing the situation, Sandra Jones’ look became stormy. She came to her and bawled out Louisa, ”Louisa, what’s wrong with you? You know now where you are? If you have any complaint, why won’t you speak when your Daddy’s done...”

Louisa Jones cut her short with a wilful tone.

“When he’s done, it would be too late. I do not want to marry him. Wesley, are you not intended to marry me, right?”

Wesley Smith held himself aloof from the unforeseen event all along, as he were a outsider. After hearing the girl’s words, he replied with a sneer.

“Louisa Jones, have I been too indulgent with you?”

People who were supposed to see some fun shivered with fear due to Wesley Smith’s cold tone.

Frightened by him too, Louisa was stunned for a moment and then she felt very weepy.

“Dad, Mom, is this the best son-in-low you’re always talking about? He dared to talk to me like this. After we’re married, what else he’s gonna do to me? I will not marry him! Let alone engagement!”

Allen Jones was no longer unable to contain himself facing the situation that his daughter was acting.

A slap was heard clearly. Everybody present was astonished at the scene and witnessed the slap blush on Louisa’s face. All of sudden, they started to whisper to one another’s ear.

“What’s wrong? Louisa know nothing about the engagement before?”

“It’s so wired. Louisa Jones has no crash on Wesley Smith? Is it said that they good since they’re children. What’s the hell going on?”

“It seems that the Jones is dying for a relationship with the Smiths so they’re longing to be related by marriage. In my view, Louisa Jones is so unsatisfied. How perfect Wesley Smith is! She would go against it! What’s wrong with her?”

What they said all were heard by Harriet Clark. She just sneered secretly.

Look, this is the convention in this group. They can congratulate hypocritically, but turned around, they would criticize wantonly. How delicate the commercial intercourse is!

“Keith, I think the birthday party is totally in a mess. Why won’t we leave?” Harriet asked the man next to her.

She would not like to see the messy situation any more. It meant nothing to her no matter what the final relationship was between Louisa Jones and Wesley Smith.

“All right. I take you home.” said sweetly Keith Moor.

The strife on the podium continued.

"Dad, what... what are you doing?"

Louisa stroked one side of her cheek and stared incredibly.

After this slap down, Allen Jones also felt regretful. Since her childhood, he had never hit his daughter. However, today he was too disappointed at her!

"Louisa, apologize to Wesley and your dad." Although Sandra Jones also loved her daughter dearly, but now she can't let her keep making trouble. Or the family’s reputation will completely be thrown away!

"Apologize? You want me to apologize to them? I’ve done nothing wrong!"

Louisa was slapped and felt so hurt inwardly. At this point, she would not save their face, which the only thing she knew was to tell all her grievances out, which she usually dared not to say.

"You always neglect my feelings, and only know let me win glory for you as the Jones’ daughter! What you said love me most is bullshit! If you really view me important, you will not sacrifice my happiness in order to be related with him by marriage!"

Wesley Smith stood aside and listened to the girl's words. He suddenly felt restless and disgusted in his gut.

If he really thought Louisa Jones was not valued, he would not force Harriet Clark to transplant her kidney!
