Dragon Master novel Maximilian novel Chapter 624

In order to ease the tension, Victoria said hastily, “Preston, please don’t get angry with Maximilian. Maximilian, watch your mouth. We come here for help.”

Maximilian looked at Victoria speechlessly and leaned back on the chair, “I thought you are a gentleman, but it seems that you could not even bear a little joke. Look! You are so angry. Do you want me to apologize to you? I will try my best if you really want me to.”

Victoria was so anxious that she really wanted to twist Maximilian’s ear and told him to behave well.

Preston sneered and suddenly realized he was acting ungracefully. As a recluse master, he was supposed to act nonchalantly.

Did his personal image get sabotaged because of anger?

Preston did some self-examination and said slowly, “I was joking. Victoria, please don’t take it seriously. I am so sorry. ”

Victoria exhaled and relaxed, as long as they wouldn’t fight. Victoria felt anxiety made her so tired that she whispered to Maximilian, “Please mind what you say. We are asking for help here. ”

“OK, I’ll keep my mouth shut.” Maximilian was not interested in dealing with Preston at all. Keeping his mouth shut was the best he could do.

To please Preston like an inferior was a humiliation to Maximilian.

There were footsteps approaching. The boss of the tavern and chefs lined up and walked in, putting all kinds of dishes on the table.

Vegetables, chicken, fish and beef. There was nothing special. But the exquisite appearance and the great smell of the dishes stirred her appetite.

“Victoria, do have a try. The ingredients were brought from mountains by me. Those unpolluted ingredients are hard to find in the city. ”

“The dishes look excellent, and they must be very delicious.” Victoria ate some green vegetables. A taste that never felt before filled her mouth.

The taste was indescribable and seemed to make her whole body relaxed, which was quite amazing.

“What kind of vegetable is it? It looks ordinary, but the taste is amazing.”

Preston said with a smile, “Just ordinary vegetable, but using traditional seeds and nonchemical fertilizer. Therefore the taste is way better than ordinary green vegetables.”

He then took a scornful look at Maximilian and said, “Mr. Lee, have a try, but please be careful and don’t bite your tongue.”

“I am not hungry. I ate too much at lunch. No appetite now.” Maximilian replied indifferently.

Preston did not say anything, whatever.

After grabbing a few bites, Preston smiled to Victoria and said, “How do you like the dishes? Quite unique, right?”

“Yes, every dish is quite special. Preston, living in the mountain must like living in paradise.”

Preston laughed and shook his head, “Exactly, a paradise. But I need a wife, who will make the mountain life a true paradise.”

Maximilian gave a little chuckle, full of scorn.
