Ex-husband Goes Money Comes by Yvone Zabielski novel Chapter 441

Chapter 441 I Like You

After her wine was taken away twice, Breenda was a little annoyed.

“Bentley, return it to me! Who are you to me? Why do you care about me?”

Bentley did not speak, nor did he give the wine back to Breenda. He hid the wine behind his back.

Because his arm was longer than Breenda’s, Breenda was angry that she could not get the wine.

“Bentley, don’t be unreasonable! I have been chasing you for a year, but you never cared about me. Now I am tired. Can you let me go?”

Breenda’s eyes were red, and tears welled up in her eyes. She felt really aggrieved.

“Ms. Callis… No, Breenda, I…”

Bentley looked straight into her eyes, the corners of his lips moving. He opened his mouth, but nothing came out. His ears and cheeks were red.

“What do you want to say?” Breenda asked.

He took a deep breath. This was the first time in his life that he had confessed. He was even more nervous than he had surgery the first time!

“Forget it, if you don’t want to say it. I won’t disturb you.” Breenda was already impatient.

She got up and was about to leave, but Bentley quickly grabbed her hand and said, “Don’t go.”

Taking another deep breath, Bentley simply gulped down the entire glass of red wine to boost his courage.

Because he drank too quickly, he felt a bit dizzy and seemed to have been braver.

“Breenda, I like you.”

Breenda was slightly stunned and did not react in time.

Bentley continued, “I was confused before and couldn’t figure out my feelings. When you left, I realized that I couldn’t forget about you.

“I’m willing to marry you, but we can first date and discuss marriage when the right time comes. What do you think?”

Breenda looked at him in a daze and even thought this man was not the Bentley she knew.

This Bentley must be out of his mind.

Breenda had expected Bentley’s confession for countless nights.

She once woke up with a smile for countless nights when she dreamed about his confession, then closed her eyes sadly and continued to sleep.

Now Breenda really heard him say that he liked her, but she was incomparably calm. Her previous anticipation seemed to be erased by disappointment time and time again.

But Bentley actually thought about dating and marriage. How ridiculous.

“Mr. McGraw, are you kidding me?” Breenda smiled bitterly.

“No. I mean what I said,” Bentley said with a serious face.

“Is it because you are not used to having me around after I left? After all, I’ve chased you for a year,” Breenda sneered.

Bentley did not want to lie to her. He nodded. “Indeed, I am not used to it, but I should have noticed my feelings for you. I was too dull before.”

Breenda did not feel comforted by his words and only felt even more ironic.

“When I liked you, you never looked at me seriously. When I was determined to let you go, you came to tell me that you like me. When you don’t or get tired of me, will you give me a cold shoulder and force me to leave? What do you think I am?”

Breenda felt both angry and sad. In her opinion, Bentley’s answer was more like humiliation to her. She continued, “Bentley, although the Callis family is not as rich and powerful as the McGraw family, I won’t allow you to humiliate me that way!”

Bentley did not expect her to be so reactive. He wondered if his indifference really hurt her over the past year.

“Breenda, I did not mean that.”

He was not good at explaining. Seeing her cry in grief and indignation, Bentley did not know how to comfort her.

He hurriedly took a tissue to help Breenda wipe the tears, but he did it so hard that he messed up her left eyeliner.

He retracted his hand quickly and looked helplessly at the “masterpiece” he had created, looking guilty.

Noticing Bentley’s unusual gaze, Breenda seemed to realize something and quickly opened her bag, taking out a mirror.

Although the left eyeliner was not messy, it ruined her entire delicate makeup.

Breenda flared up. “Bentley, are you here to mess with me on purpose? I didn’t owe you anything, did I? I was so tired of chasing you for a year. Now I want to forget about you, and you come to disturb me. What do you want?”

Bentley looked at his hands in a daze and said, “I’m sorry. I’ve never taken care of girls and have no experience of comforting others. Don’t be angry. Things are not as serious as you think.”

Breenda was surprised that he apologized.

Bentley was so proud and cold, but he actually apologized to her.
