Chapter 493 The Past

Looking down, Ronian said respectfully, "Take care, Mr. Hobson."

Ronian stood by the door and watched Ormand get in the car and leave.

It was not until several cars disappeared from Ronian's sight that Ronian became furious and kicked over the large vase in the garden.

"Ormand!"

Ronian gritted his teeth hatefully.

However, there was one thing that Ronian should be alert about.

It had been almost a week, and it was a great risk that Sherlyn was still there.

Ronian calmed down, turned back to the villa, and called Jennifer to the study.

"Ronian, what's wrong?"

Ronian smoked his cigarette in frustration and said, coldly, "In the next two days, remember to visit Sherlyn at the Hobson's house. You must bring the bodyguards who have been arranged to protect you into the bedroom."

"What?"

Jennifer was confused. Jennifer said, "When I go there, Viola always goes with me. There are too many people in the room. Viola will not allow the bodyguards to go in."

Ronian said, "I don't care what method you use. Think of a way to take the bodyguards with you and stay in a room with Sherlyn alone." Ronian knocked on the table solemnly.

"Ronian, Mr. McGraw and the doctor are always in Sherlyn's room. This is impossible. They won't let me be alone with Sherlyn."

With a bang, Ronian slammed the table. Ronian glared at Jennifer and said, "You haven't even tried, but you're back out first. How can you do that?"

Jennifer was frightened by the sudden bang, and her whole body trembled. Tears came out. Jennifer bit her pink lips weakly, feeling wronged.

Ronian was annoyed, so he did not comfort Jennifer. Instead, Ronian said solemnly, "Jennifer, you are already twenty-one years old. You are an adult. You must have the ability to handle things independently. This can be regarded as training your adaptability."

Ronian tapped his fingers on the table and made a serious arrangement.

Ronian said, "I don't care what method you use. In short, within two days, find a way to send away the others in Sherlyn's room and bring the bodyguards in alone."

"If I can't complete this mission, what should I do?" Jennifer asked with tears in her eyes.

"I still have the thing that I used to hit Jerry last night. If you can't complete the mission, I'll keep it for you."

Ronian was so ruthless...

Jennifer was shocked.

"Ronian, why did you threaten me with the family punishment just

for such a small matter? Am I still your most beloved sister?"

"Loving you doesn't mean spoiling you. Letting you complete a

mission independently is a form of training for you."

Ronian looked grim and there was no room for discussion.

"Ronian, you've changed. You've become so unfamiliar to me." Jennifer could not understand Ronian anymore and even felt that Ronian was so unreasonable.

"It's not that I have changed. It's that I was too indulgent with you in the past, making you never understand me." Ronian blew out a ring of smoke. Ronian looked serious.

Jennifer stared at Ronian's face and only felt a shiver down her

spine. Jennifer was unable to say a word.

Jennifer couldn't stop shaking her head. Jennifer turned around and

ran out of the study, crying.

Ronian looked gloomy. Ronian was speechless at his useless

younger siblings.

Ronian called his subordinate.

Ronian said, "Mr. Hobson has brought Jerry to the secret

interrogation room to interrogate him. You should pay more attention to the things Mr. Hobson has arranged for Jerry."

Jerry was in the car.

Jerry was weak and unconscious. Jerry slowly woke up after the injection of antibiotics.

Feeling his surroundings swaying, Jerry opened his eyes and saw

Todd sitting beside him, skillfully applying medication to the

wound on his hand.

Todd glanced at Jerry and said, "You finally woke up. You were so weak and you even bit me until I bled. Are you trying to take revenge on me on purpose?"

Jerry smiled. His lips were pale. Jerry said, "If I didn't take that bite, how could I express my grief, anger, and despair? Ronian has sharp eyes. If it was too obvious, he could tell at a glance."

Todd said unhappily, "If I had known earlier, I would have slapped

you harder. Such a loss."

Seeing that Todd was still thinking of that, Jerry chuckled and

slowly sat up.

In the armed car, Ormand was sitting across from Jerry. Ormand

was looking through some documents.

Jerry asked, "How did you know something happened to me? You

came quite quickly."

Ormand said, "Jennifer sent a message to Viola to ask for help.

Jennifer wanted Viola to return the things you stole, so you could

come out."

"Jennifer is innocent and naïve. Jennifer doesn't know anything." Jerry felt warm, which was rare.

If they had returned the medicine, it would have been confirmed

that Jerry had stolen something. Not only would everything Jerry had done for Viola be a waste, but Ronian would also think of a way

to kill Jerry.

The only way to survive was to stick it out and deny it.

Jerry was thinking clearly. Jerry looked at Ormand and asked, "What about the medicine? How's the test going? Last night, Ronian said it was very important."

"Not done yet. Kolby needs to compare it with the database. If nothing goes wrong, the results will be ready at noon."

Ormand glanced at Jerry. Ormand said with a calm tone and a hint of ridicule, "If I had found out anything, I wouldn't have arrested

you in the Felton's house just now."

"That's true," Jerry said with a smile.

Then they were silent for a few minutes, and no one spoke again.

Todd finished with the wound. Todd looked at Jerry's clothes

covered in blood. Todd said, "Just now, I helped you apply the medicine to the wound and found that you had a lot of injuries. How many hits did you take?"

Jerry lowered his head and looked at his clothes that reeked of

blood.

"I haven't counted. I only remember that two of the rods were

broken."

Two of them?

The rattan that had been soaked in water was very tenacious. If one

wanted to break it, one would probably have to hit things with it a few hundred times.
