Ex-husband Goes, Money Comes Chapter 504 Dewey Confesses
In the office of the National Bureau of Investigation.
Ormand was looking through everyone’s testimonies.
Caden knocked on the door and came in, standing in the open space in front of Ormand’s desk.
“Mr.Hobson.”
Ormand did not even raise his head. His gaze was fixed on the testimonies in his hands. He asked in a low voice, “What is it?”
Caden put his hands behind his back and said, “Mr.Hobson, you have already locked Mr.Ronian in the inquiry room for two days.He is a deputy director after all.And his mother…”
“Cut the crap.”
Ormand glanced at Caden impatiently.
“If you can’t tell me why you are here in five sentences, you are going to spend an afternoon in my office suffering from training.”
Caden shivered.
He knew everything about Ronian being left in the office by Ormand and being tortured for the whole afternoon the last time.He was the one who carried Ronian back to the Felton’s villa.
Such a kind of torture was too much for Caden.
Caden stretched out his fingers and began to count the sentences vigilantly.
Just as he was about to speak, Ormand reminded him coldly.
“You already said four sentences just now.You only have one sentence left.”
Caden was dumbfounded.
Since when did he say four sentences? Was a pause considered a sentence? Knowing that Ormand was a man who always delivered his words, Caden didn’t dare to argue and went straight to the point, “He is a public official whose mother died and therefore you have to let go of him if you can’t prove he was involved in this in three days.”
He finished his sentence in one breath, not daring to pause.
It wasn’t until he finished speaking that he heaved a sigh of relief, as if he had come to life.
Ormand looked up and stared at Caden with a tease in his eyes, mocking, “He has only been locked up for two days, and he hasn’t even been tortured. He is so impatient.”
Caden wanted to help Ronian argue, “Mr.Hobson, Mr.Ronian…”
“Go out and tell Ronian that by the end of the day tonight, if there’s still no progress, I’ll let him go back to deal with his mother’s affairs.”
“OK.Thank you for your understanding, Mr.Hobson.”
Caden bowed respectfully and left the office.
As soon as Caden left, Todd came.
Ormand continued to look at the sheets in his hands. He saw it was Todd from the corner of his eyes and did not look up.
Todd walked up to Ormand and handed Ormand something.
Only then did Ormand put down the sheets in his hand and take a look.It was a complete, transparent glass tube.
Ormand held it in his hand and examined it carefully.
Then he raised his head and looked at Todd.
Todd grinned.
It looked like he was waiting for a compliment.
“Ormand, Konner broke.”
“So soon? What did you tell him?”
Ormand asked as he stared at Todd.
Todd smiled mysteriously and said, “I cracked him down with both persuasion and reasons.I checked everything about him in advance.I found that although he and Ronian are brothers, they aren’t on good terms.I said a few things and sowed discord.”
When Ormand was working, he had always been serious.
And now when he was looking at Todd, there was a smile on his face, which was a rare thing.
“Well done.Tell me in detail.”
“Sure, Ormand.”
Being praised, Todd smiled even more happily.
Todd cleared his throat and began to say, “Konner said that it was the day after the banquet. When he returned home, he accidentally found Dewey with all the villa’s bodyguards and servants filling stuff in the backyard. He was suspicious, so…”
Ormand listened carefully and fiddled with his watch.
After Todd finished, Ormand sneered and said, “Well, someone is already impatient in the inquiry room.Let’s get all this shit done by the end of the day.Maybe he can walk free in another life.”
Ormand adjusted his collar, his eyes sharp. He got up to go out the door.
“Let’s go and have a chat with the housekeeper, Dewey.”
For the first time, Dewey was handcuffed and sent to the suspect’s room.
Ormand said that he wanted to interrogate Dewey personally, and after Dewey got here, he had been locked up the entire morning.
In the dark suspect’s room, there was only a dim light on the top.
The wall was dark, and the room was quiet.
Dewey was alone.
The light was not strong, but not the pressure it brought.
Dewey had already been sweating. He was a bit exhausted, feeling tortured. He didn’t know how long he was going to stay.
The big iron gate of the suspect’s room was opened.
Ormand walked in leisurely and sat on the main seat.He looked at Dewey from 15 feet away.
Dewey asked in fear, “Mr.Hobson, why am I here? I don’t know anything.”
“Everyone who came here said they didn’t know anything. But in the end, they always gave in and chose to confess.Dewey, do you want to confess and tell me now, or do you want to follow the process?”
Ormand looked at him with interest.
Dewey was stunned, his legs trembling uncontrollably. He tried his best to calm down.He thought, Mr.Ronian said that Ormand is cunning.
Once Ormand suspects someone, he will use all kinds of psychological tactics.I can’t believe a single word of Ormand.
“Mr.Hobson, please ask.I will answer honestly and dare not conceal anything.”
“Alright, this is your promise. If you change your words later, the law will not let you off easily.”
Ormand’s deep voice was soft, but it was full of threat.
Dewey swallowed a mouthful of saliva and nodded.
Todd sat next to Ormand with a laptop in front of him.thuy He was taking a detailed record of Dewey’s confession.
Ormand cut straight to the point and said, “The glass fragments in the backyard have been identified. They are very new and are not stained with dust. One day after the banquet, were the servants in the Felton’s villa assigned to do something?”
Dewey was stunned, sweat instantly falling down his cheeks.
“Mr.Hobson, why would you ask this?”
Ormand stroked his watch. He didn’t answer Dewey’s question.
“You are not the only one in the Felton family who knows the truth.Someone next door has already told me everything, and you still want to lie to me?”
Dewey clenched his fists that were in handcuffs tightly.
“Who? Which asshole of the Felton family dares to talk nonsense and slander Mr.Ronian?”
“When did I say Ronian was related?”
Ormand raised his eyebrows coldly.
Dewey was stunned.
Ormand chuckled.
“That’s right. He is the one in charge of the Felton family.Any mass clearing and destruction is, of course, directed by him.”
Dewey lowered his head, “Mr.Hobson, that’s not true.Mr.Ronian is easygoing and usually busy.He does not often interfere with the servants, and even less with such trifles as cleaning the villa.”
“Yes, you’re right. That’s why he left it all to you, dragging you into this mess.”
Ormand didn’t retort Dewey.
“What?”
Dewey was stunned.
“I know that you have helped Ronian a lot.If you don’t tell me the truth, you will share the crime with him.He has done a lot.Are you sure you don’t want to come clean and ask for leniency?”
“I…I really don’t know.Mr.Hobson, please. It really has nothing to do with me.”
Ormand didn’t bother to talk to Dewey anymore. He took out an intact glass tube, and there was a little bit of clear liquid at the bottom of it.
After Dewey saw what it was, his pupils instantly widened, and he was terrified.
Ormand coldly observed Dewey’s expression and took out another glass tube full of transparent liquid.
It was the one that Jerry stole.
“Professional examiners have run them through. The liquid Jerry stole from the top floor was the same as the liquid that you destroyed in the backyard.”
Dewey felt a chill down his spine, and he was sweating heavily.
Todd added, “Dewey, Mr.Hobson wants to give you a chance by interrogating you personally.
We already know the truth.
If you insist on not saying anything, you will be treated as an associate and will spend the rest of your life in prison.”
Dewey thought, I did was help him tell the servants what to do.
Am I going to get a life sentence for that? Dewey was completely flustered.
“OK! I’ll tell you everything! As a villa housekeeper with a signed employment agreement, I do what my employer says! It has nothing to do with me!”
