Falling For My Mysterious Wife by Cassidy Alfaro novel Chapter 132

Chapter 132

Jalen felt pity for Saul. After all, their experience was very similar, but not so alike.

After all, although Jalen lost his father and mother, he still had a grandfather. Although Nitzan was. strict, Jalen sincerely loved his grandfather. This caused his growth to be completely different from Saul’s growth.

After Elaina heard him say that, she realized that the Halton family had such a grudge against the Judson family. No wonder Saul always had a look of hatred when he mentioned the Halton family.

Yet…

Could such a thing really be blamed on the Halton family and Jalen?

He was also a victim.

Elaina was silent. For a moment, she did not know who to feel sorry for.

“Alright, let’s eat,” Jalen interrupted her thoughts. There was no trace of sadness on his face about losing his parents.

Perhaps for him, those unbearable things had already passed.

Elaina nodded and followed him back to the living room. There were dishes in front of them. They ate slowly.

“If you don’t want to move, forget it.” After a while, Elaina finally spoke.

Jalen, however, was amused by her appearance. The corners of his lips curled up. He asked, “Why are you looking at me like that? Are you pitying me?”

“I am not.” Elaina immediately shook her head, but she knew in her heart that she really felt sorry for Jalen.

“You don’t have to pity me. To me, they are just strangers. I won’t feel sad because of their departure,” Jalen said.

Jalen did not care about such irresponsible parents. In the past twenty years, he only cared about Nitzan.

And now he also cared about Elaina.

Elaina saw that his expression was normal and did not seem to be sad. She argued, “I said no! Do you need sympathy?”

“No,” Jalen said.

The room fell silent. No one spoke again. Elaina quietly finished the meal. Finally, she found that Jalen’s cooking seemed good.
