Falling For My Mysterious Wife by Cassidy Alfaro novel Chapter 136

Chapter 136

Elaina was busy until eight o’clock in the evening before she came out of the hospital. She dragged her tired body to Jenica. “Is there a good thing or a bad thing? You came to see me so late at night.”

“What are you talking about? I just feel that we haven’t eaten together for a long time, so I came to have a meal with you.” Jenica was annoyed. Before she came, she did not know that Elaina would get off work so late.

Unfortunately, Elaina was indifferent when she heard this. She was not moved at all. “I had thought that after you had a man, you forgot that you had a friend like me.”

Ever since she found out that Jenica had a man by her side, Elaina could understand why Jenica was so busy, so Elaina had not asked Jenica out recently to avoid making herself upset.

Jenica didn’t answer. Elaina felt it was a little strange. “What’s up? Did you two quarrel or break. up?”

“Break up? I have never been with him at all,” Jenica smiled bitterly, and there was a bit of sadness in her words.

“It has been so long, and you two are not together yet? What are you doing?” Elaina was shocked.

“He doesn’t want to be with me openly. What can I do?” Jenica had said everything she should say and had done what she should do, but he just said it was good to keep their current relationship.

What did he take her for?

“Does he want you to be his underground lover?” Elaina frowned and vaguely understood something.

Just saying it made Elaina’s mood turn bad. Jenica quickly pulled Elaina back. “He didn’t say that.”

“Then what did he say?” Elaina asked, unwilling to give up.

“He didn’t say anything,” Jenica laughed hollowly.

He didn’t say what kind of relationship they had now or what he would do in the future. Anyway, he gave Jenica an illusory feeling, so she didn’t feel safe.

“He didn’t say anything?” Elaina raised her voice and stared at Jenica with disappointment. “Isn’t this obvious? He just wants you to be his underground lover rather than his girlfriend.”

This kind of thing was common in upper-class society. Elaina had always scoffed at it, and she did not expect that one day her friend would encounter this kind of thing.
