Falling For My Mysterious Wife by Cassidy Alfaro novel Chapter 139

Chapter 139

Jalen said to her without looking up, “Maybe another day. I’m busy today.”

“Alright then.” Alisha said reluctantly, “Can we have lunch together? It’s been a long time since we enjoyed a meal together.”

Jalen raised his head and frowned at her. “Isn’t the Lory Group going bankrupt? Why don’t you go to solve the trouble Saul and Theodore brought your company? How can you be so idle?”

Jalen thought that Alisha came to ask for his help today. He had even thought of how to reject her, but Alisha had no such intention.

“My dad asked Marcus to help with the company business, so I’m put aside,” she smiled, looking a bit sad.

Jalen understood what a man Alisha’s father was, so he felt a bit sorry for Alisha. After all, she was a good friend he had known for years. Although Jalen didn’t like the Lory family because of Marcus, he had no bad feelings for Alisha.

He put away the document and said to Alisha, “Let’s go have lunch together.”

“Okay,” Alisha revealed a proud smile.

She thought, Elaina, I have known Jalen for so many years. Our relationship is not something you can have.

At noon, Elaina finished her operation and walked out of the hospital. She intended to eat something at a nearby restaurant.

Not long after she left the hospital, she was surrounded by a few men. “If you don’t want the innocent to get hurt, come with us.”

Elaina looked around and felt helpless. Many people were coming and going. If they made a move, these people might be implicated.

“Okay.”

As long as she was not drugged, she would be able to deal with it after she was taken away.

It seemed that they didn’t want to make a fuss on the street. After bringing Elaina to a remote place, they stopped and threw a rope in front of Elaina.

“Do you want to do it yourself, or do you want us to help?” the man asked.

“If you had tied me up on the street, you might have succeeded. Now…” Elaina chuckled.
