After all, Nitzan was a member of the Halton family. Without a doubt, he was on Jalen’s side. Not to mention that she had already divorced Jalen, and even if she had not, Nitzan might not try his best to help her.

Elaina knew this clearly in her heart.

To make Jenica have a sound sleep, Elaina didn’t tell her about this.

Jenica went back to her room to sleep, but Elaina could not fall asleep. It was not her style to wait without doing anything. She had to prepare for the worst.

For the whole night, Elaina was thinking about a solution. Thus, she got a pair of extremely obvious dark circles under her eyes when she woke up the next day.

“What did you do last night?” Jenica could not help but exclaim when she saw Elaina like this.

Elaina looked in the mirror and covered the dark circles under her eyes with concealer while saying, “Nothing, I just didn’t sleep well.”

“Ella.” Jenica suddenly called her. “I’m sorry. It’s me who got you involved in the Gansburg family’s matter.”

Hearing this, Elaina turned to look at her and said seriously, “It’s me who should say sorry to you. If it weren’t for me, you wouldn’t have offended Jalen.”

“I didn’t expect him to be so mean. He didn’t even give me a chance to apologize,” Jenica complained.

“Let’s have breakfast first. We’ll find a solution.” She grinned at Jenica and walked out of the kitchen with breakfast.

After breakfast, Jenica dragged her luggage back home because she was worried about her father. At this point, her running away from home only lasted two or three days before it ended.

Elaina tidied up the kitchen, changed her clothes, and prepared to go to the hospital to work.

When she opened the door and walked out, she saw her neighbor open the door at the same time. Then,

Elaina was shocked.

Compared to her shock, Jalen was much calmer. “What a coincidence, Dr. Gainsford.”

“It is quite a coincidence.” Elaina came back to her senses and suppressed the shock in her heart.
