Falling For My Mysterious Wife by Cassidy Alfaro novel Chapter 196

Chapter 196

In the evening, Miguel came into Jalen’s tent. Elaina guessed that they should have discussed and come to a conclusion. She was a little curious about whether the villagers would choose to leave or stay here.

Miguel and Jalen had talked for a long time. It was not until two hours later that Miguel came out of the tent. From Miguel’s smiling face, Elaina could tell that Miguel was very satisfied with the solution.

Elaina hesitated for a moment and then walked toward Jalen’s tent.

“I guessed that you would come,” Jalen said with a smile as soon as Elaina entered the tent. It appeared that it was within his expectations.

Elaina did not argue but got to the point. “What option did they go to?”

“Rebuild where they are. Miguel says that the villagers have lived here for generations, so they don’t want to leave,” Jalen replied.

Elaina was not surprised by this result. “It is true. After all, this is their hometown, and they cannot leave so easily.”

“I will let Graham follow up on the construction here, so you don’t have to worry about it. Come

back to New York with me.” He had a concern about leaving Elaina here.

After a moment of silence, Elaina nodded. “Okay.”

The earthquake had struck, so her volunteer medical work had to end early. She had to wait until the reconstruction of this place was completed to see if she had the chance to come back here.

“I want to take the two children back,” she said to Jalen.

“The two children who lost their parents?” Jalen knew about the two children and sympathized

with them. However, it would be a problem if Elaina took them back with her.

Elaina nodded. “No one in the village is willing to raise them. If they stay here, they can’t live.”

“Then how are you going to arrange them if you take them back to New York? Raise them by yourself?” Jalen knew that Elaina was kind, but he had to remind her of the consequences of doing things.
