At Kaiser Club, Quincy pushed open the door to the private room and frowned. “It’s noon, but you are drinking here instead of going to work. Jalen, are you okay?”

As he spoke, he had already sat opposite Jalen. Quincy was a little worried and curious.

“I’m fine,” Jalen replied, but as he spoke, he drank another glass of wine.

Was this an okay sign?

Quincy didn’t believe it.

After a moment of contemplation, Quincy asked, “It’s about Elaina, right? So? You didn’t talk to her?”

“I did. She said she didn’t want to see me,” Jalen said. There was a bit of bitterness in his words.

Quincy was surprised, but then he thought that it was reasonable. “You married her for two years and didn’t even go to see her once. It is normal for her to have resentment towards you.”

“But I didn’t expect her…” Jalen sighed.

It was impossible to say that he did not regret it at all. If he had known Elaina earlier, they might not have

divorced.

Quincy came over and patted him on the shoulder. He comforted, “Why are you unhappy because of her

attitude? Do you like her?”

Jalen was silent.

Quincy continued, “It’s just because you have been away from women for too long. That’s why you’re attracted to Elaina. In fact, she’s no special person. She’s not worth your time.”

“I know quite a few pretty ladies. How about I introduce you to them?”

He did think that Elaina was plain. Despite her mysteriousness, Elaina was not better than many women he

knew.

“Get out!” Jalen glared at him.

“Well, I’m serious. Try it. Maybe you will meet someone you like more.” It was rare to see Jalen fall in love with

a woman, and he thought it was quite interesting.
