Falling For My Mysterious Wife by Cassidy Alfaro novel Chapter 97

Chapter 97

“I thought they wouldn’t invite you.” Saul curled his lips and said unhappily, “Was it that bastard, Jalen, who invited you?”

“No, it was Mr. Halton.” After all, she was Jalen’s ex–wife. Moreover, she had a good relationship with Nitzan before, so it was normal for him to invite her.

When Saul heard this, he was somewhat unhappy. “I didn’t expect you to have a good relationship with Mr. Halton.”

“Yes, not bad.” Elaina nodded.

It became silent. Saul glanced at her and said, “Then I will pick you up on time tomorrow. Is that okay?”

“Okay.” Elaina agreed. She did not want to go back on what she had promised.

After that, Saul got up. Just as he walked to the door, he heard Elaina suddenly ask, “Actually, I have always been curious. What is the grudge between you and Jalen?”

She had never heard of a grudge between the Halton family and the Judson family before. But Saul looked as if the grudge between the two families was quite big, so she was curious.

Saul’s hands trembled slightly. It seemed that he had thought of something bad. His face was extremely ugly, and he did not speak for a long time.

“Sorry, if you don’t want to say it, you don’t have to say it.” She was just asking. She did not expect

Saul to have such a big reaction.

After a long silence, Saul turned around and sat down in front of Elaina. He said slowly, “Do you have wine?”

“This is the hospital.” Elaina reminded him.

“Then you can get me a cup of water.” Saul rolled his eyes at her, thinking that this woman was not smart at all. He did not know what Jalen liked about her.

Elaina got up, got him a cup of water, and placed it in front of him.

Saul picked up the water and took a sip. Only then did he feel much better.

“In fact, we have no grudges. I just hate the Halton family. If he is not from the Halton family, I will not compete with him,” he said slowly.

Elaina held her chin, looking confused.
