Fated to Love You Again (Shawn and Norah) novel Chapter 116

Chapter 116 How Is My Baby? Is It Okay?

When Norah was taken to the operating bed in the emergency room, everything was ready.

The operating light above her was large and very bright and blinding.

But Norah's eyes were not closed.

Not only did she have her eyes open, she kept them open.

Was she scared?

Of course, she was scared. In fact, she was terrified. Her body temperature was as cold as ice, and she was trembling all over.

But even so, she tried all the harder to stay awake. She wanted to remember the pain she was about to experience, every second of it.

A group of people came into the operating room. They were the professor and doctors of obstetrics, the nurses in charge of the various procedures, and the anesthesiologist...

Her lower body was still bleeding and her stomach was cramping with pain.

"Professor Walter, please, please save my baby. I can't lose it."

Norah looked over at Professor Walter, who looked kind, and pleaded emotionally.

"Young lady, don't worry, I'll do my best. Now follow my instructions and don't think about anything else."

"Okay."

Soon the anesthesiologist applied the anesthetic to her. Since she was only given a local anesthetic, Norah was awake the whole time.

Although she couldn't feel her lower body because she was under local anesthesia, she could clearly see the basin after the basin of her blood was carried away, and the nurses were busy with anxious looks on their faces.

Soon, in addition to the blood, the gauze and cotton balls used by the doctors to stop her bleeding were stained red with blood.

The scene was frightening, but she didn't cry.

She was just trembling, trying desperately to cheer herself up, "Norah, you have to be strong. Don't be afraid. Only if you're strong will your baby be okay."

"Baby, you have to hold on too. I'm sure you'll make it through with me."

She clenched her fists tightly and pulled herself together to keep her spirits up.

Soon a needle was inserted into the back of her hand, and then the doctor began to give her the transfusion.

She looked up and could clearly see the blood flowing into her body bit by bit. But she couldn't keep up with the amount of blood being transfused.

It was too tiring. She was so tired.

And she felt so sleepy.

She could feel the energy draining from her body. She had tried desperately to hold on, but right now she was too tired to have any more strength.

"Baby, I'm sorry. Mommy's sorry."

After murmuring these words, Norah shed tears of pain.

Unable to hold on, she closed her eyes and fell into an endless darkness.

She could not remember how long she had slept. When she awoke, she was in a hospital bed. She felt weak and had no strength at all.

The ward was large and had all the amenities. But Norah felt this emptiness without a hint of popularity.

She looked up and saw the crystal lights on the ceiling.

It was nighttime, and the crystal lights were emitting white beams of light.

Norah looked at the light and suddenly muttered, "This light is blinding! It's as blinding as the lights in the emergency room."

She was speaking, but her eyes were very vacant and unfocused, as if she was losing her soul and spirit.

"If you don't like the light, I'll have them change it."

Hearing this voice, Norah turned her head to the side.

When she saw Matthew's handsome face, so familiar to her, she raised a faint smile, trying to make herself look all right, "It's okay. I'm just saying."

"Thank you for taking me to the hospital and saving me. I don't know what to say. I always owe you."

Matthew stepped forward and helped her to tuck her messy hair behind her ear, then said in a tender and reassuring voice, "Then you must get well soon. I'm still waiting for you to buy me some coffee. The coffee was good last time. I've read about it."

When Norah heard his words, there was a sudden light in her still eyes. But soon the light in her eyes went out again.

'Get better?'

'Do I have a chance to get better?'
