From A Prisoner To A Big Short’s Inheritor ( Yves Jimmy) novel Chapter 19

Chapter 19

“Leonard, this is too involved, so I have to make this call. I hope you can understand.”

Jarrett took out his phone and said.

Actually, he started to believe Leonard.

When he said he had Waylon’s phone number, he had been observing Leonard’s expression and found him very calm.

Normally, no matter how emotionally stable a person was, he or she would show a little anxiety at this time.

“Okay,”

Leonard replied and nodded.

He didn’t care whether Jarrett would call Waylon.

Jarrett, cut the c rap and just call him. Since Leonard wants to do this the hard way, let’s give him what he wants. He dared to steal Waylon’s thing. He must have a death wish,” Corrie yelled.

She had treated Leonard as a thief.

“Corrie, will you shut up? We will learn the truth only after Jarrett asks Mr. Lambert,” said Willie.

He felt Corrie was too noisy.

It wouldn’t be late to mock Leonard after the result came out.

Kenia and Flora nodded in agreement to Willie.

Everyone wouldn’t feel at ease unless Jarrett called Waylon–and asked.

With everyone watching, Jarrett dialed Waylon’s number.

At this moment, everyone’s heart fluttered, and they could even hear a pin drop.

“Who is this?”

A deep voice came from the phone.

Leonard, who had just parted with Waylon, recognized it was Waylon’s voice.

At this moment, Jarrett became nervous and even stuttered, “Mr… Mr. Lambert, I’m Jarrett Lopez, the chairman of Norport Commercial. We exchanged numbers last time.”

Waylon replied flatly, “I see. What’s up?”

He obviously didn’t take Jarrett, a small company’s owner, seriously.

Actually, with Waylon’s identity, he didn’t need to remember people like Jarrett. There was a huge gap between them.

Jarrett didn’t see a problem with Waylon’s attitude.

He would find it strange if Waylon were pa**ionate about him.

“Mr. Lambert, there is something I want to confirm with you.

“Today is my sister–in–law’s birthday, and her nephew…”

“Please be more concise…” Waylon interrupted Jarrett.

“Okay, okay,” Jarrett said and nodded hastily, “I’m calling for confirmation. May I ask do you know a young man named Leonard Santos?“,

Although it was a brief phone conversation, Jarrett’s forehead was already running with sweat.

Waylon’s aura was so strong that even a phone call made him extremely nervous.

“Leonard?”

Hearing Leonard’s name, Waylon immediately changed his attitude.

Although Waylon knew Leonard was the chairman of Santos Group, he couldn’t figure out Leonard’s true identity but knew he was definitely not simple.

After all, Leonard owned a big company at a young age. He must have a strong background.

Waylon wanted to be friends with Leonard.

“Mr. Lopez, who is Leonard to you?”

“I’m his uncle,” Jarrett said.

Chapire to

Armally they were not related by blood, and he wasn’t Leonard’s un Leopard

But Jarrett wanted to seem like he was close to

Wavin and Leonard and I are friends I admire Leonard very much. Why are you calling me?”

Waylon was puzzled Jarrett talked so much but never stated his purpose of calling.

When Waylon sand Leonard was his friend, everyone widened their eyes in shock.

They found it unbelievable

“Well Mr. Lambert, here is the thing. Leonard brought a bracelet today and said you gave it to him. So I made this call to express my thanks to you.”

Hearing Waylon say Leonard was his friend, Jarrett knew he couldn’t say he suspected that Leonard had stolen the bracelet. Therefore, he could only say he was calling to express his gratitude. Jarrett was crafty,

Here came the exciting part.

Everyone held their breath.

Flora’s heart was racing.

Only Leonard looked calm.

“I gave it to him. Leonard said he wanted to prepare a birthday present for his aunt, so I gave him the bracelet. It’s not worth anything. You don’t have to thank me specifically,”

Everyone’s eyes were filled with shock.

It was really from Waylon. He gave Leonard an emerald bracelet worth over 200 thousand dollars. He was way too

generous.
