“I look like this now…” Hattie smiled bitterly, “And how long can I stay with him? What broke then is still broken now…”

“If he really loves you, he won’t care about such things.” Jensen said.

“But I care! I don’t want to appear in front of him like this. Actually, it is good that he doesn’t know what I have done. Just as well, everything is a mess now…” Hattie frowned.

“Will you think about yourself for once?!” Jensen suddenly became a little angry, “Is it so difficult to live for yourself?!”

Hattie was frightened by his sudden anger.

“Jensen…”

“You both obviously love each other. What is there to worry about?!” Jensen said, “If you live happily with the one you love, maybe you can live longer!”

“Hattie, what is there to be afraid of? What is there to struggle with?! Think about it yourself.”

After saying this, Jensen got up and walked out of the ward.

Hattie sat on the bed alone lost in her thoughts.

Outside, Jensen leaned against the wall and closed his eyes. He took out his phone, wrote a text message and sent it. After a while, he received a contact number.

Jensen dialed the number and slowly moved away from the ward.

Greyson hurriedly got off the plane. Jensen was waiting for him there.

Jensen greeted him with a nod.

“Why are you helping me? Don’t you like Hattie?” Greyson asked.

“But she likes you.” Jensen said, “Hattie… doesn’t have much time to live. If you come, you might be able to help her. Although she says she’s fine as long as you are happy but I know she has been waiting for you day and night.”

The pain in Greyson’s eyes deepened even more, “It’s all my fault…”

“Don’t blame yourself for all of it. After all, you didn’t know.” Jensen sighed, “It’s just… why did you agree to get engaged to Rowan even after knowing everything?”

“You won’t believe me even if I tell you. When I found out the truth, immediately afterwards I received the news of your departure. I tried to chase you on the road but I got into a car accident. After I woke up, I thought Rowan was Hattie…” Greyson said with a wry smile.

Jensen lowered his eyes, “So, that is what happened…”

He pulled the corner of his mouth as he took out a letter from his pocket and handed it to Greyson, “I won’t go to the hospital anymore, and maybe we won’t see each other again. Take this letter to Hattie, this is my goodbye.”

Greyson stretched out his hand to take the letter, looked up at Jensen and then stretched out his hands again to give him a hug, “Thank you.”

“I only hope for Hattie’s happiness.” Jensen said, “Treat her better otherwise I will come back.”
