“What did I tell you witch?” Papa’s voice boomed from inside me but my mouth wasn’t even moving. “WHAT DID I TELL YOU?”

“N…not to hu…rt Amara.” Cassidy replied struggling to breath.

I have never seen her this scared. Even Grayson’s cool semblance of nonchalance had slipped. He looked scared for his mate.

“What were you doing?” he asked in a very deadly voice.

“I w…as hurting h..er.” Cassidy was slowly turning purple.

“Right. I am telling you this one last time witch. DO NOT HURT MY PUP OR I WILL CLAW YOU LIMB BY LIMB. DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?”

I saw nails protruding from my the hand of the light surrounding my arm. It grazed Cassidy’s neck a little making her whimper. There was blood coming out of her neck where the claws touched her.

“WHAT DID I ASK YOU?”

“Y…es Al…pha.” Cassidy muttered whimpering.

Papa threw her towards the opposite wall and she fell down in a heap. No body made a move to help her. He turned towards Steven who was looking at me stunned.

“And you.” Papa started pointing at him. I saw Steven visibly shake on his feet. “Thank you for helping her last night.” Steven nodded. I had a feeling that papa didn’t like the idea of the way he helped me. My suspicions were conformed with the tone of his next words. “Just a warning kid. Hurt her and you will regret ever being born. I will make sure of it and so will my son.”

Papa looked to be on a full threatening mode. He looked around the room. His eyes landed on Aaron.

“How are you kid?” he asked.

His mood taking a complete U-turn.

“I am good Alpha.” Aaron replied smiling at my father.

He looked quite scared but relieved that he was not on the receiving end of papa’s wrath.

“I never got to meet you properly before. My princess talks a lot about you. Thanks for being by her side.” He said quite fondly to him.

“It’s my pleasure Alpha.” Aaron replied bowing at him. Well me.

“Hello princess.” His voice melted down.

“Hi papa.”

“You are healed good.” He stated.

“Umhm.”

“You always make me proud one way or another.” He said.

I can feel his emotions seep into me.

“Papa I missed you so much.”

I wanted to hug him so bad.

“I am always here sweetheart. You can talk to me whenever you want.”

I nodded.

“I love you papa.”

“I love you too princess.”

Papa disappeared inside me. I looked around me to find Cassidy still in the same position papa had thrown her in. There was blood coming out if her neck. I winced looking at her condition. She looked to be in shock. Grayson looked torn between going to the aid of his wife or staying where he is. Austin and Steven looked quite baffled. Aaron on the other hand was the only relaxed person in the room.

“Guys?” I called.

Grayson ran towards Cassidy and held her close. Shit! What have I done? She helped me and now I hurt her.

“Steven?” I called turning towards him.

He still looked shaken up. For a vampire, he gets scared quite easily. After some time he swallowed the distance between us in two steps and engulfed me in his arms. He buried his face in my neck. I can feel his breath hitting my neck in a short interval.

“Your father is quite scary.” He mumbled still not letting me go.

I almost laughed at him but controlled myself. He has one more father to go through. Geez! I want to laugh so bad.

“He gets like that when it comes to me.” I explained chuckling. “You will find dad a little less scary.”

“WHAT?” Steven jerked back looking at me with wide eyes. “There is another father you have?”

Steven looked to be a little hyperventilating. I think I shouldn’t have told him that this early.

“Yeah. Papa adopted me when I was ten. Dad on the other hand took me in when I was just a baby.”

“So one down. One to go.” He said grimacing.

“Umm two to go actually. Well three or four. I don’t know. My life is filled with possessive men.” I teased him.

The reaction was instant. His eyes turned red and he grabbed me quite possessively. One moment I was in the living room and in the other he had pinned me to the bed. Papa will not like this. At all.

“Which men do you have in your life?” he asked menacingly.

He was starting to scare me now. But the irritation of his behavior is becoming more pronounced on my nerves.

“That’s clearly none of your business.” I snapped.

“You think so baby.” He said smirking. He looked dangerous. “Even if you won’t tell me who they are, I will find out one way or another and when I find them, I will kill them painfully. You know why baby? Because I don’t share what’s MINE.”

Okay! He clearly got the wrong idea. But when he said that, my heart did a summersault. What is this guy doing to me? First things first. I need to get this one off of his high horse before he goes and get himself killed by Ryder. I am having a feeling that Xander will turn out just like his father but he is a secret and I can’t really tell about him to anyone.

“First of all, you need to calm the hell down. Second, we just started dating. You don’t need to get all possessive over my ass just yet. I am not your property and you do not own me. Third, the people I was talking about are my brothers. They are as hard headed when it comes to me as brothers come by. Now get off me. I need to go to my apartment and rest. I have to go to work tomorrow.”

It came meaner than I anticipated but I don’t want to jump into things like I did with Asher. He looked hurt to say the least. His eyes were flicking between red and green.

“Are you rejecting me?” he asked dejectedly.
