Hiding the Twins from Their Billionaire Father novel Chapter 202

S21 32. Stop Teasing Me

“So, you’re still angry with me?” Philip chuckled. “It’s a waste of me to praise you. It turns out your heart hasn’t melted yet. Should I take some food to your room? You haven’t eaten since lunch, right?”

Barbara’s furrowed brows deepened. “I have no appetite!”

Afraid of the pounding in her chest, she quickly walked away, but Philip was moved to tease her more..

“Hey, why are you following me?” Barbara sped up.

However, Philip’s footsteps were much bigger. Even though his movements were relaxed, he was still beside her.

“To make sure you arrive safely. You haven’t eaten since lunch, right? What if you pass out?”

“I’m not going to faint. Now get out of my way!” Barbara elbowed Philip and then started running.

Seeing that the girl was embarrassed, Philip stopped and laughed. Once their distance was large enough, he chased her with light steps.

“Tsk, why is he still following me?” Barbara grumbled in panic. She ran faster. But, after several steps, she stopped.

A trolley was crossed in front of her bedroom door. Behind that object, two toddlers were whispering.

“Come on, Emily. Knock the door!” Louis pushed her sister forward. However, the little girl stepped back.

“What if Auntie throws a tantrum? She could be still angry with me.” Emily shook her head, banishing the bad imagination from her mind.” You knock the door.”

Louis’ lips pursed. “Why me? You were the one who hit her this morning. And Auntie became like this because of your dress. You have to take responsibility.”

Emily’s brows furrowed. She looked at the door timidly. “How about we knock it together? Come on, Louis. Help me.

Louis puffed out his cheeks. “Okay,” he sighed resignedly, “but you still do the talking.”

“Okay!” Emily nodded curtly. Her hands were clenched in front of her

chest.

After counting down, the two toddlers knocked on the door together.

“Auntie, it’s me and Louis. We heard that you haven’t eaten since this afternoon. You will get sick if you don’t eat. So, we bring lots of food for you.”

Barbara’s breath suddenly hitched. A strange sensation now tickled her heart. “Those two brats…. They thought I would forgive them with those foods?” she grumbled insincerely.

When Emily spun around to face the trolley, Barbara quickly hid

behind the wall. It was only when the little girl looked back at the door that Barbara poked her head further.

“There are seven menus here, including Auntie’s favorite food. It doesn’t have shrimp, but there are crabs. Auntie likes crabs too, right Moreover, these crabs look cute. They definitely taste better.”

Louis elbowed Emily. “That last piece of information isn’t important. Why did you mention it?”

“So that Auntie won’t get angry when she sees the menu. Who knows, she might hope there are shrimps or prawns.”

“But you don’t need to say that the crabs are cute. Auntie will think

that we are noisy and deliberately disturbing her.”

Emily’s lips pursed. “I thought, by saying that, Auntie would be curious. So, she would come out to see the crabs.”

“Well then, why don’t you just say the crab is painted pink?”

Emily’s eyes narrowed. Not wanting to serve Louis, she knocked again on the door. “Auntie, the food will get cold. You should eat now.”

“Yes, Auntie. Come on, eat!” Louis continued.

However, the door remained unmoved. Emily started to worry. “What should we do, Louis? Auntie won’t listen to us.”

Louis started racking his brains. After puffing out her cheeks for a moment, he exclaimed, “If Auntie wants to eat, I promise not to bother Auntie again and Emily will help Auntie deal with the barbaric attacks of netizens.”

“What can you do?”

The twins gasped. They turned around together with their mouths

agape.

“Auntie isn’t in the room?” Louis sighed with round eyes.

Without thinking, Emily pushed the trolley towards Barbara. “Aunt look at this! Aren’t you hungry? This is your dinner. There are crab too.” Her tiny finger almost touched the shell.

Barbara didn’t answer. Folding her arms across her chest, she stared at Emily intently. “Louis said you could help me deal with the haters. How can you do that?”

Louis flinched. In fact, he just talked it casually. “About that….” His eyes rolled around looking for a way out.

Barbara snorted sarcastically. “You don’t know how, do you?”

Emily secretly cringed. Her fingers intertwined in front of her stomach.

“How about Auntie eat first? Louis and I can tell you how to do it later. Her voice was small and charming. However, Barbara didn’t seem moved.

“How can I have appetite? My good name has been ruined, and that’s because of you. Are you happy that people criticize me? Do you also want to call me incompetent and useless?”

Suddenly, her finger was pointed at Emily. “You… you were the first person to call me bad. You are the root of all my problems. Are you happy now?”

Emily pouted. Little by little, she leaned closer to Louis. “Actually, I don’t really think you’re bad, Auntie. You’re just lost. That’s why I hope you would wake up and get back on the right path,” she said quietly.

Louis nodded. “Emily is right. Auntie isn’t actually bad or evil, just lost. Therefore, please stop being fierce at us, Auntie.”

Barbara laughed faintly. “Lost?” She was amused. “Where am I going?”

Louis blinked innocently. “Mommy and Daddy said that everyone must develop their potential to be the best version of themselves. You actually have potentials, Auntie, but you abuse them. Because of that, you lost your way. If you were on the right path, I think people would stop attacking you.”

Emily suddenly widened her eyes. Laughing, she shook her brother’s arm. “Louis, that’s the answer. We can stop the haters by showing that Auntie is truly sorry and has changed.”

Barbara was stunned. The twins’ chatter gave her a pretty hard slap. ” I… have the potentials?”
