Hiding the Twins from Their Billionaire Father novel Chapter 204

S21 34. Real Family

After a moment of silence, Melanie waved her hand. “Get out of my room. Now!”

Nora gasped and nodded. “Yes, Ma’am.”

While the servant pushed the trolley out of the room, Melanie grabbed

her phone. She checked her social media. A moment later, she dropped her jaw.

“Barbara’s doing another live broadcast?”

Melanie sat up straighter. Her nerves were a little tense when she opened the broadcast. However, when she found Emily’s round face, confusion took over.

“What is this devil kid doing here anyway?”

“Yes! This dress is my design. Auntie is helping me to promote it.”

After a moment of silence, the toddler shook her head.

“No. Auntie is not a bad person. If she was really bad, she wouldn’t possibly admit her mistake and apologize.”

The camera suddenly panned away from Emily. Barbara appeare beside her. Seeing her daughter’s new appearance, Melanie gasped. She covered her mouth with one hand.

“Gosh! When did she change her hair color?”

At the same time, Barbara gave a small nod. Her smile looked strange to Melanie.

“That’s right. I regret my actions. Now, I want to change. I hope you all will support my decision. Please give me a chance to improve myself.”

Emily nodded confidently. “I hope you all don’t mind to forgive Auntie. She’s trying to become the best version of herself. Shouldn’t we support her? Good people always support good people.”

While Emily and Barbara continued to talk, Melanie sighed in disbelief. Her common sense was frozen. She had difficulty guessing what was in her daughter’s mind.

“Did Barbara approach that kid on purpose?” Her eyes narrowed. As her brain drew conclusions, she let out a chuckle.

‘Clever girl! She said she couldn’t pretend to be nice to them, but it turns out? Her play is actually perfect.”

Smiling crookedly, Melanie put her phone back. “Good job, Barbara. Keep drawing their sympathy. That way, our goals will be easier to achieve.”

Meanwhile, Barbara had just ended her live broadcast. Her smile was bright. There were still many insults appearing in the comments column. However, the support she received was bigger.

“Auntie, you see, right? Many people love you.”

Barbara quickly pursed her lips. She was still reluctant to admit th Emily had made a big contribution to her change.

“Yes, but there are still many people who mock me. You haven’t full made amends for your mistakes.”

Hearing those harsh words, Philip glanced. Knowing that her expression was fake, he smiled faintly. Meanwhile, Emily, the very young girl, didn’t care either.

“Those who sent bad comments aren’t sure yet, Auntie. Therefore, we have to show more evidence. Slowly, they will all support you again. Now, how about you promote that ball gown?”

Emily pointed her tiny finger. Barbara checked the direction. When she found the gown that had caused her trouble, her breath faltered.

“Do you want netizens to turn against me?” Barbara’s look turned

sour.

“No. If you promote it, people will see that the gown is no longer a problem. You can use yesterday’s mistake as a weapon.”

Barbara lowered her eyebrows. “A weapon?”

Emily nodded quickly. “Yes, you can say that you did that because the gown was too beautiful.”

“I don’t think that’s a good idea,” Barbara muttered quietly.

Emily shrugged. “Well then, it’s up to you what you want to say. The important thing is you have to promote it.”

Listening to the two women’s discussion, Philip secretly smiled. He seemed to see something very beautiful in Barbara.

In the late afternoon, Louis entered Emily’s study with his arms outstretched. “Woohoo! Time to go home!”

However, seeing Emily and Barbara busy looking at something on phone, he widened his eyes. “What are you guys looking at?”

“There’s progress on Auntie’s account, Louis.” Emily waved her hand Come here! You have to see this. Her followers increased again, an her new post received a lot of positive comments.”

“Is it true?” Louis approached Philip. The man quickly showed Barbara’s account on his phone.

“Wow! Congratulations, Auntie! You did it,” Louis exclaimed after seeing it.

Barbara tried not to smile. “Yeah, I’m pretty good, right?”

Suddenly, Emily laughed out loud. As Barbara stole a glance, she gave her a hug. “Congratulations, Auntie. I’m happy that your efforts are paying off!”

Receiving such sweet treatment, Barbara turned still. Her eyes secretly scanned the surroundings, afraid that someone would be able to see her true heart. Apparently, Philip already raised his eyebrows, gesturing for Barbara to hug Emily back.

Barbara flinched. Before she had time to digest, Louis hugged her

from another side.

“Woohoo! I’m also happy that Auntie has changed for the better. I hope we don’t fight again in the future!”

Barbara blinked awkwardly. Her hands were shaking, going back and forth near Louis and Emily’s backs. However, before her fingers touched them, the door opened.

“Kids!” Frank said enthusiastically. Beside him, Kara also put on a small smile. “Is your work finished? Let’s go home!”

The twins let go of the hug. Their eyes now sparkled brighter. “What’s in Mommy’s hand?” they asked in unison.

Kara smiled faintly. While looking down, she checked the contents the bag. “This is a gift for good children who have helped their aunt

While Emily ran over to Kara, Louis got off the sofa listlessly. “But didn’t do anything. Do I deserve a reward?”

“You forgot?” Emily suddenly turned around. Her hair waved

beautifully before falling back on her shoulders. “You were the one who chose the glass with the leaf pattern. Apart from that, you also helped me to convince Auntie to get back to the right path. You deserve a reward, Louis!”

“Oh, yeah! So, Emily is sharing the gift with me?” Louis poked his own

Frank nodded amusedly. “Yes.”
