Invincible Heir novel Chapter 79

Yuri gave Baron a worried look and then she went away.

Hudson had recovered from the shock and his courage returned now. His Brown family was the first-class family in Cona. It was one of the largest and most powerful families in Cona. Anyone who tried to offend them was going to die.

“Just tell me where Lara is, and I will let you out. This is your last chance.” Baron sat on the sofa, looking calmly at Hudson.

Hudson’s face had resumed its usual hypocrisy. He sat down opposite Baron slowly, reclining on the sofa.

He smiled at Baron, “Tell you the truth, Baron. I had not meant to hurt your daughter. I kidnapped her because of Zoey. But now, I've changed my mind.”

“What do you want?” Baron asked calmly. He knew nobody could hurt Lara because she had his stone pendant, which was powerful enough to keep her out of danger. The stone pendant had followed him into battle and saved his life a thousand times. Under the protection of that rock, Lara should be safe now.

Baron was only concerned that Lara might be scared, being locked up alone.

“In fact, my goal was Yuri. I tricked her into coming here and planned to fuck her. And as for you and your daughter, you two were not in my plans,” Hudson said calmly. “I have planed to teach you a lesson and then you could take your daughter home. But things are different now. You are too powerful. If I returned your daughter, I am dead meat, like Zoey. Don’t you think so, Baron?”

Hudson seemed pretty calm about the whole conversation. Baron had a bad feeling about this.

“Zoey has paid for this. Let my daughter go home and our grudge will be wiped out forever,” Baron said seriously.

Baron didn’t trick Hudson. His daughter was what mattered the most! As for Hudson, there’s no need to mess with him.

But Hudson believed not a word of that. He gave a small snort of laughter. “I’m not so stupid as to believe that. You blinded my men’s eyes and killed Zoey without a trace. How am I supposed to believe you?”

“Just tell me what you want. You don’t want to keep my daughter in there indefinitely, do you? Let my daughter go home and I will let you get away with this! Then we will be square. How great is that?” Baron said with a smile.

But Hudson shook his head. “I don't think it’s gonna be that simple. I have to keep your daughter to keep myself safe. But trust me, I will take very good care of her. And I will let her go home as long as I am safe.”

“I came here to negotiate in good faith. If you are so determined, I am afraid I am losing control. I’m sure you’re aware of the consequences for that,” Baron retorted in a menacing voice.

“But you won’t. I had fully prepared for anything. I know you could kill me easily, but if you did, you will never see your daughter again.” Hudson actually had no fear.

When Charles heard these words, he couldn’t bear it anymore and jumped to his feet. “Mr. Owen, I had enough of his crap. Let me kill him! He brought this on himself. We can find Lara without the jerk.

Baron stopped Charles and looked at Hudson. Hudson was not afraid and stared back at Baron, smiling triumphantly. It seemed that he was a thousand percent sure that Baron couldn’t find Lara without his help.

Actually, Baron’s men kept looking for Lara, but they discovered nothing. All they know was, Lara was taken to the Moonshine Pub by Zoey. But she disappeared without a trace.

They had searched everywhere, but found nothing. This was unbelievable.

“I know you keep looking for your daughter. The only reason you haven’t kill me is you still have no clue where is your daughter,” said Hudson, smiling.

“Let me get this straight, Hudson. What do you want me to do?” Baron asked.

“I will let your daughter go home after I kill you, or you force me out of Cona if you can. Because if you don’t, I will pull every string and I have to kill you. If I fail, I have no choice but to leave. Of course, either way, I will send your daughter back home,” Hudson said, with a nasty smile.

He did not attempt to hide his intention that he would do everything he could to kill Baron.

“Well, I think I said what I needed to say. By the way, remind you again, I have your daughter. Don't do anything crazy, buddy.” Having said this, Hudson got up and went to the door.

Charles stepped forward and got in front of him.

“Baron, what do you mean by that? Do you want to kill me and leave your daughter to die?” Hudson’s face was quiet, without a note of horror.

“I’ll do it your way. But I’m warning you, if you touch one hair on my daughter’s head, you will get no reason to live. I’ll boil you and flay you!” Baron said, a hint of a smile playing on his lips.

“Sure, I will keep her safe. You can count on that,” said Hudson, still smiling.

“Let him go,” Baron ordered.

“Mr. Baron, you believe this guy?” Charles looked very anxiously.

“Get out of the way, Charles!” said Baron loudly, looking very serious.

Very reluctantly, Charles stepped aside to let Hudson pass. Hudson glanced at Charles and then left triumphantly.

“Mr. Baron, you shouldn’t let him off the hook so easily. What if he deceives us?” Charles asked, still puzzled.

“What can I do? We have looked everywhere but we can’t find Lara! If you kill him, we have no chance of saving Lara. We can’t risk it.” Baron sneered and winked at Charles.

Charles followed the direction of his glance and found a monitor under the table. It turned out that Baron freed Hudson deliberately!
