Love Diary novel Chapter 13

In the hall, Mr. Zhou was sitting on the stage, giving a speech at the opening ceremony. At the same time, he was interpreting the opening ceremony with some exaggerated movement language.

Sitting under the stage, Clare listened to the speech while yawning and looking around.

Mr. Zhou's speech was so boring. Seeing that her classmates were all sleepy, but they had to hold their chins with their hands and pretended to listen carefully, Clare also couldn't help but feel sleepy. Looking at the stage again, the teachers were yawning like a competition.

Withdrawing her sight, Clare patted Lydia who was leaning against her and said, "Lydia, get up."

Lydia rubbed her eyes and asked in a daze, "Is it over?"

"Not yet," Celine replied her sister in a low voice, "I think it will take a few minutes."

Lydia leaned her head against Clare and closed her eyes again. "Then I'll sleep a little longer."

"Don't sleep." Clare pushed her up and said in a low voice, "I'll tell you something interesting."

As soon as people around heard that there was something interesting, they all came over with interest.

Clare looked at Mr. Zhou who was still concentrating on his speech on the stage and whispered to the people around her, "I find that our beloved Mr. Zhou needs to learn Mandarin for another year."

"Why?" Vincent asked with great interest.

Clare smiled and said, "Didn't you hear that just now? Mr. Zhou's pronunciation is not up to standard. It sounds funny ... Clare repeated Mr. Zhou's wrong pronunciation slowly and unhurriedly, and the people around her couldn't help laughing in a low voice.

Sam looked at Clare with admiration, "Clare, you are so patient. How could you hear Mr. Zhou's boring report from beginning to end?" That was not the patience of ordinary people.

"Ha ha. Our Mr. Zhou is so engrossed in his speech. Won't he be very sad if no one listen to him? " Clare said with a smile.

After she finished her words, there was a sudden noise on the stage. Mr. Zhou, who was still passionately making a speech, suddenly stopped. He pointed at the direction of Clare and shouted, "That female classmate, please stand up."

All the teachers and students who were sleepy suddenly came to their senses because of this accident. They looked at the person Mr. Zhou referred to -- Maggie Peng of class 0207, sitting in front of Clare. Perhaps it was because Maggie Peng had just heard what Clare had said that she was amused and forgot to hide, and was caught by Mr. Zhou on the stage. Hearing Mr. Zhou's words, Maggie Peng's face turned red and the smile on her face froze.

Clare frowned slightly, and the introduction of Lydia to Maggie Peng flashed through her mind quickly: good grades, but introverted, not willing to talk much, and not very existence in the class.

Maggie Peng looked at the stage uneasily and bit her lower lip unconsciously. Under the gaze of the crowd, she trembled and wanted to stand up, but was pressed on the shoulder by a hand from behind.

"Don't look back and don't say anything. Just sit down. It's okay." She heard the person behind her whispering to her. She knew that the person sitting behind her was Clare, the famous figure who had just turned around. Although she didn't know why the person would say such words to her, she felt that the person's voice was very pleasant to hear, and it was very reassuring. So she decided to trust her and sat still.

But the next second, she heard people around her gasp in surprise.

She couldn't help but turn around, only to find that Clare had stood up for her.

"Clare?" Both Lydia and Celine looked at her in confusion; Cassie, Amy, Joe and Jill, who were sitting in other places, sat straight at the same time; Vincent and Sam were surprised; as one of the student representatives, Carl, who was sitting on the stage, frowned imperceptibly; as the second representative of the student, John, who was sitting on the stage, gently shook hands with the speech in the hand; and Fiona, who was the third representative of the student, a gloating smile appeared on her face. The students in the audience began to discuss in a low voice, and the teachers began to whisper on the stage.

Mr. Zhou took off his presbyopic glasses and rubbed his eyes. "Did he just call her? Did this girl know what she was doing?

Clare blinked innocently, "Mr. Zhou, what can I do for you?"

Seeing that Mr. Zhou's face turned red and blue in an instant, all the people present quieted down. They had a bad feeling that Mr. Zhou was going to lose his temper!

Sure enough, the next second, Mr. Zhou's angry voice resounded through the microphone. "This student, did you listen to my speech carefully just now? !"
