Love in Twilight novel (Clarissa and Damien) novel Chapter 103

Chapter 103 How Many Husbands Do You Have? “Forget it! I was just ranting a little, ” Luke said. Joseph had taken the bait. “Which mall are you at? I’ll be right there,” Joseph said.

Luke sent him his location. Soon, Joseph arrived.

Luke continued to lan the flames. “Damien doesn’t like Clarissa at all. He wants her to look good so that it makes him look good, but he’s too stingy to pay for it. He actually made her return all the clothes they bought.” “Which ones did she return?”

Luke pointed them out.

“Wrap them up for me. Also, I want to get her a few more pieces…” An image of Clarissa’s figure appeared in Joseph’s mind. He had pretty good taste, and the clothes he picked out for her were nice.

“Please have these delivered to her house. This is her address…” As he typed out Clarissa’s address, he said, “I’ll pay you extra to have them delivered by tomorrow evening.”

“Sir, who should we say these are from?” The store clerk was delighted at having closed such a huge deal. Joseph had spent more than 300,000 dollars in one go.

He frowned. “Just say that… they’re from her husband.”

Joseph wanted to humiliate Damien. He wanted Clarissa to think that these were from Damien, even though lie himself had bought them.

Luke was delighted at this turn of events.

The next day, someone knocked on the door while Clarissa and Damien were eating at home.

A woman in a uniform walked in. Holding several bags of clothes from the brand that Clarissa had returned the clothes to the day before.

Clarissa recognized her to be the store clerk to whom she’d returned the clothes.

“What’s wrong?” She thought that something had gone wrong with the clothes she’d returned.

“Your husband bought you the clothes that you returned yesterday, and he added on a few more pieces. Would you like to take a look at them?” the store clerk asked.

Damien’s hand stilled at her words, then continued eating.

Clarissa glanced at him sweetly a few times. She didn’t like being too extravagant, and she found these clothes to be too expensive, but she was still happy that Damien had done this for her. “You didn’t need to do this, really. These clothes are so expensive, and I might not even wear them,” she said.

“It’s not an issue!” Damien wiped his hands expressionlessly. “Keep them if you like.”

After that, he went upstairs.
