Love in Twilight novel (Clarissa and Damien) novel Chapter 108

Chapter 108 Clarissa Had Played Him Like a Fool

Clarissa had spent the day crying, and she didn’t feel good. When she got home, she put Joseph’s book into her suitcase

Damien had already checked it once, so he probably wouldn’t do it again.

After that, she went to bed and woke up early the next day.

It was slighuly after eight in the evening when Damien got back, and Clarissa was already cleeply asleep by then. When he woke up, she was cooking “What are you cooking today? You’re not going to put too much salt again, are you?” he asked.

Clarissa was taken aback. She said in surprise, “I put too much salt yesterday? For which dish?”

“The shepherd’s pie. Were you trying to kill me with its saltiness?” he said teasingly.

She was even more surprised now. She had been making shepherd’s pie for years because Steven loved it, so she could make it with her eyes closed. How could she possibly have put too much salt? Perhaps it was because Damien was used to having something blander.

If so, she would put less salt in the future

When Clarissa got to the office, she started attending to her work she heard someone muttering behind her, “President Lawrence wasn’t in the office yesterday, so he didn’t sign

this.”

Damien wasn’t at the office yesterday? Where did he go?’

Where had he eaten the lunchbox, then?

Just as she was feeling puzzled, she received a text from Madelynn.

Madelynn: (Your cooking’s not half bad, Miss Johnson. I finished the food that you prepared yesterday. It’s just that the shepherd’s pie was a little loo salty. Remember to put less salt next time.)

So, Damien had gone out with Madelynn!

And she had eaten the food!

He’d given her Madelynn’s feedback! He had given the first meal she had prepared for him to the woman he loved, and even had the nerve to comment on the food!

Clarissa trembled with rage.

She knew she and Damien were in a contractual marriage, and that they wouldn’t last long. of course, she didn’t expect him to tell her everything. But did he have to play her like this?

She felt wronged.

She would prefer it if the food she prepared the day before had been eaten by a dog!

And so, Clarissa texted Lily and asked the latter out for lunch.

Lily. (oh, come off it. You already brought your own food, didn’t you? Why are you asking me

out?)

Clarissa (You can have it. I still prefer outside food.]

Lily (It’s a deal!)

Lily was happy She ate out all the time, and was sick of it. She wanted nothing more than (or someone to cook for her
