Chapter 390 What a Wildcat

non continued to pin Clarissa to the bed. He grabbed his phone and put it in between their

ears.

“What’s wrong?” he asked Mrs. Faber. Because of the phone’s proximity to Clarissa’s ear, she could hear Mrs. Faber clearly. “President Lawrence, is it convenient for you to speak now?” Mrs. Faber asked. “Go on.”

Clarissa suspected Neil was either sick, or something else had happened.

“Luke came to cause a ruckus just now. He said Lucy’s pregnant, and you need to take responsibility. He’s still here, and we can’t get rid of him!”

“Let him stay there, then!” Damien hung up.

Clarissa averted her head. She didn’t say anything.

“Don’t tell me you fucking believed that.” He threw his phone next to her pillow. “Get off me!” She wanted to push him away, but to no avail.

She wanted to slap him after that, but the moment she made her move, he caught her wrist. She tried again and again, but he stopped her every time.

The sound of fists meeting flesh rang out in the room.

Clarissa detested him deeply.

Of course, she didn’t really believe the rumors. The reason she detested him was that he had gotten involved with another woman in Merania while she had been away.

More than anything, she was jealous.

Perhaps to him, she was just a woman that was slightly more important than the others, and it didn’t matter who he slept with. Perhaps sleeping with other women was just a way for him to take care of his physical needs, but sleeping with Clarissa was something he enjoyed.

“Clarissa, are you okay?” Yonah knocked on the door.

She knew Damien wasn’t someone to be trifled with, and she had been listening to the goings on in Clarissa’s room just to make sure that she was safe.

“I’m…” Clarissa was about to say that she was fine when Damien silenced her with his lips. He swallowed her words

She scratched his back and tried to kick him, but he stopped her by wrapping his arms around her tightly

“If you’re fine, I’m going to go.” Yonah sounded worried

“Yeah.” Clarissa broke free of Damien’s kiss and caught her breath before answering Yonah.

She left, and silence descended on the room again.
