Love or Die: CEO’ s Daily Dose of Swoon (Cordelia) novel Chapter 32

The room fell into a moment of silence before Yuna shattered the quiet atmosphere, her tone laced with utter disbelief. "What?"

The Presidential Suite? The stuff of fiction, something Yuna had only ever read about in novels, was Cordelia really going to stay there?

Yuna turned to look at her schoolmate. Cordelia stood serene and unassuming in her plain uniform, betraying no hint of wealth or privilege. Yet, her striking beauty and commanding presence suggested she was no ordinary teenager. Could this be what real affluence looked like?

Swallowing hard, Yuna quickly adjusted her earlier standoffish attitude, her smile now awkward and strained. "Oh, Cordelia, I totally got the wrong end of the stick earlier!"

She scampered over, her smile now all ingratiating charm. "Mr. Latham and Zack wanted us to stick together, you know? To keep you safe at night, in case you got scared or something. So, um, do you want me to come with?"

The idea of crashing in the Presidential Suite with Cordelia had Yuna's mind spinning with the social currency she'd gain at school! But would Cordelia agree...?

Just as she pondered this, Cordelia furrowed her brow in confusion.

She hadn't requested an upgrade to the Presidential Suite. What was going on?

Her phone chimed.

Boss Wallace explained, ‘I got a sweet deal at the hotel you're staying at and upgraded you to the Presidential Suite!’

Cordelia was indifferent to where she stayed, but she wouldn't turn down a more luxurious option, especially with a hefty amount in her bank account. She texted back, ‘How much? I'll pay you back when I return.’

The reply came swiftly, ‘$8.8.’

Was this some sort of group discount deal?

Pondering over this, she set her phone aside. At the sight of Yuna's eagerness, Cordelia paused before speaking, "Pack your stuff."

Yuna was over the moon, hardly believing her luck. She hurriedly gathered her barely touched luggage, then stood expectantly before Cordelia, backpack in hand. "All set!"

Cordelia, dragging her suitcase with leisurely grace, was just about to exit when a hotel staff member took over, "Ms. Delaney, allow me to assist with your luggage."

Cordelia nodded in thanks.

She may not have been accustomed to such high-end accommodations, but she felt perfectly at ease. As they approached the exclusive elevator that serviced the Presidential Suite, Yuna practically sprinted inside.

But in that moment, Cordelia's slender and fair hand grasped Yuna's arm. Yuna turned, only to hear Cordelia say slowly, "Your elevator is over there."

Yuna was dumbfounded. "But the Presidential Suite is accessed through this elevator."

Cordelia glanced at the elevator with detached eyes. "Oh, but the apartments for Greenmeadow High School are serviced by a different lift."

Yuna was stunned, disbelief etching her features.

Cordelia then turned to another staff member, saying, "Would you mind taking her to Greenmeadow High School's side? Please arrange another room for her."

With those words, Cordelia stepped into the elevator.

Greenmeadow High School was a prestigious institution, but its student body mainly came from modest backgrounds unlike the affluent children from the Greenmeadow International School.

Their accommodations were in a separate building, far more affordable.

Cordelia's room had been arranged by Latham, paid for by Greenmeadow International School's funds. Yuna wouldn't have had the chance to stay there if not for Cordelia's company. Now, she was being unceremoniously relegated back to her original status.

Yuna stood there, shocked. It was only as the elevator doors were closing that she sprang to action, shouting, "Cordelia, are you playing me?!"

A staff member blocked her advance, "Please don't disturb our esteemed guest. If you refuse to cooperate, I'll have no choice but to contact your teachers."
