Madam, Your Ex-Husband Is On Call novel Chapter 113

Chapter 113 I Am Getting That No Matter What!

In an instant, Christian's eyes grew cold as they swept over her, his gaze filled with an icy chill.

Upon seeing this, Beatrice trembled slightly and instinctively averted her eyes.

Having been reminded, Lamia also felt she couldn't let it end there.

"This time," she insisted, "I'm getting that outfit, no matter what!"

Christian lightly patted Lamia's arm, softly asking, "Did you want that outfit because you knew dad was planning to go to Marlandia?"

Lamia's expression changed instantly. "What?"

Her eyes widened in shock as she suddenly pushed him away and slid off the bed, saying, "Why didn't you tell me earlier? He's going abroad, huh? I knew he was going there to celebrate his ex-wife's birthday! You should've told me sooner!"

Christian steadied her, and his expression softened as he reassured her, "Dad wouldn't. He has some business to handle over there. It was the company that arranged the trip."

However, Lamia was past the point of listening. That woman in Marlandia was like a thorn in her heart.

She couldn't stand the thought of them meeting alone.

"Don't try that with me," she retorted, "To think that you're my son but only tell me something this important this late."

Christian pursed his lips. "Let me take you home," he offered.

Lamia was already impatient to get home, as if she wished she could be there instantly.

Meanwhile, Beatrice stood rooted to the spot in astonishment, feeling a twinge of resentment.

She pondered, "So, did we just sweep this matter under the rug that easily?"

After walking a few steps, Christian looked back and glanced at her. Instantly, Beatrice's demeanor swiftly changed to a look of distress, watching him warily. "Christian, I..."

"Until I find out about the kid overseas, you just need to take proper care of Charlie," he stated, his voice indifferent and devoid of warmth.

He was quite unsettled by the situation, mainly because Beatrice had intentionally fueled the dispute between Lamia and Anastasia. Her intention was too painfully obvious.

Beatrice's gaze flickered uncertainly, and after a moment of hesitation, with a tight-lipped expression, she suggested, "Since Charlie isn't the real Charlie, maybe we should place him in an orphanage..."
