Chapter 212 Visit Lamia

She also handed Callan's gift to Kevin, who immediately understood what she meant.

"Yes, Ms. Graves."

Kevin caught up with Callan and returned the gift.

"We never receive a reward without making a merit. Plus, Ms. Graves never accepts gifts from customers. Thank you, though, Mr. Callan Martinez. You can still come to us if anything comes up."

Callan forced a smile.

He returned home dejectedly and drank a bottle of wine in one breath.

Pamela was surprised to find him like this when she came back from playing cards.

Jane was also agitated to see how depressed her father became.

"Perhaps we can seek help from Mrs. Lamia Patterson and ask if we can establish business cooperation with the Patterson family?"

The Martinez family wouldn't have to worry about any future business if they could cooperate with the Patterson family.

Starlight Entertainment would be nothing in their eyes.

Callan rubbed his forehead and snorted coldly.

"I prefer you to apologize to Anastasia."

He said in a daze and went upstairs to rest.

Jane and Pamela looked at each other.

Apologized to Anastasia?

No way!

Jane went to visit Lamia a few days later and mentioned what happened.

But Lamia pretended not to hear it and said nothing.

She liked Jane, but things would be different if interests were involved.

Instead, she subtly admonished Jane, "You should care less about what happens to your family. You will be an outsider once you get married. You can't keep taking care of your family for the rest of your life.

"You are lucky that you will be part of the Patterson family. Ordinary girls can't help their parents and siblings even if they want to.

"You can't keep helping your brother, either. He's in college now, and soon, he will inherit all the properties of the Martinez family. So, why bother doing this for the Martinez family now?

"What man would like his wife if she always to put her own parents and brother first?"

Lamia's words made Jane blush.
