Madam, Your Ex-Husband Is On Call novel Chapter 224

Chapter 224 Where's My Daddy?

No wonder she would lose the project.

She deserved that.

Christian's face turned incredibly cold, his sharp profile exuding an indifferent aura. He cast a glance at Emma and said in a stern voice, "Enough. You don't need to be involved in this project anymore. You are not allowed to touch any projects in the company!"

Emma froze for a moment, her expression instantly changing.

"Why? It's not my fault this time. Anastasia snatched it away. Why are you blaming me?"

Christian stood up, his presence icy.

"You still don't realize your mistake? It's because you are not so good as Anastasia. Just sending a proposal doesn't mean you can rest easy. You're truly foolish!"

He didn't hide his reproach, causing tears to well up in Emma's eyes.

She was not as good as Anastasia?

She covered her face and ran out, feeling unjust. Why did everyone think Anastasia was better than her?

The head of the project department stood there, sweating profusely.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Patterson. I was too careless in handling this matter. I will go apologize to Miss Samuel, explain the situation, and see if there's any chance to salvage it."

Christian's tone remained cold and frosty as he replied, "You're just as foolish as her! Get out."

Losing the secured project left Christian in an expected state of anger.

He didn't mind going head-to-head with Anastasia in the business world, but losing in such a foolish way was truly embarrassing.

In the evening.

Anastasia tried calling Jaxon but received no answer.

This was unprecedented.

She called Jaxon's assistant, David Welter, instead.

David seemed to be in a noisy environment. "Ms. Graves?"

"David, I've been trying to reach Mr. Stanford, but there's no response. Has something happened?"

David hesitated for a moment and then moved to a quieter place.

"Mr. Stanford is sick, Ms. Graves. I'm currently handling things for him overseas and may not be able to return right away. If you're available, could you go and take care of him?"
