"You're still injured, so you can't walk." Aiden explained calmly, "Don't push yourself."

Mia pursed her lips and looked at his fair and slender hand.

"The mountain road is difficult to walk. I'll carry you."

"No need." She softly refused. "I can walk by myself."

"Don't force yourself!"

"I'm not forcing myself!" She suddenly raised her voice. Her tone was not very kind, but she didn't dare to look him in the eyes.

"Dr. Johnson, thank you for your kindness. But we're almost at the foot of the mountain, and I can handle it on my own. You don't have to worry."

"After I get home, I will follow your advice." Mia forced a smile. "Ice pack, rubbing alcohol, and regular check-ups. Don't worry. I'm an experienced hiker, and I have common sense!"
