Mates But Enemies novel Chapter 63

Their spirits opened up and a sea blue light immerged from their bodies and went straight Into the river. The slow-moving river started moving hectically and then fishes started appearing from all corners of it. Because it is was a small river, the fishes crowded it and started popping out of the river themselves.

A few minutes later, the bank of the river was filled with several fish and so they stopped calling out to them and relaxed their bodies.

They had only gone there with a bucket each for fish but it seemed they had to inform the rest of the pack to come for the rest of them.

When they filled their buckets, they walked out of the place joyfully, they were given thirty minutes but they had used only ten minutes at the river bank.

A man sat in the golden decorated seat with his substitutes around him. in front of him was a huge molded cup and in it, some water that reflected his being. As he sat patiently waiting for whatever, images of two young women appeared in the cup. A high smile appeared on his face and he looked at the people laughing his heart out.

The people laughed along with him but he raised his hands and they stopped as quiet as they weren't before.

The man gazed at the images and a sneer appeared on his face and he said,

“Now that they have foolishly unveiled themselves, it seems we have a little journey ahead of us.”

The others agreed with him and stood up to follow him wherever he was going. The man uncovered the cloth that was covering his leg revealing a majestic golden crocodile tail and his followers did the same revealing the same tails but ordinary ones.

The half crocodile man wagged his tail and vanished in the thin air, the others followed suit and vanished too.

Nadia and Mia had returned to the pack and when they saw the fishes, they were astonished that the river that had become barren some years ago had provided so many fish. They watched the sisters in surprise and thought among each other,

‘How did this happen?’

But no one had answers to them. Because they were mind-linked, Absalom and Logan could hear them and they heard the way the pack was busily questioning themselves about their mates' identity so they came out to witness what the matter was. But then they only saw the fish in their mates' hands as they were about to ignore the matter, an alluring smell started coming out of the sister's bodies and Logan and Absalom became restless.

Nadia walked to the queen's mother and informed her of the residue of fish at the river bank. The queen then, mind linked the Omega of the pack to go and get them and share it among themselves. As they were busily preparing for their contest, the two men were becoming more and more restless so they walked towards the women.
