Mistaken Identity novel Chapter 18

After going back to my room. I slept peaceful without any interruptions of dreams or fantasy. I showered and made my way downstairs for breakfast. I saw Ms. Wilson talking on the phone, she looked sad. Henrique was in his baby seat. I walked to him and place a kiss on his cheek in which he giggles. I sat beside him, I tried to not listen to Ms. Wilson as she spoke but I was hard not to.

"No, I have to work. Maybe I'll try and make it tomorrow. I know that you need my help but," she sighed. "I'll try." with that she hang up.

"Ms. Wilson, is everything okay?" I asked her.

"It's not very good to listen to people's conversation," she said meanly.

I rolled my eyes. "I know but I couldn't help myself you sound really sad. Is everything okay?" I repeated.

"No, my mother has just being release from the hospital and my sister needs my help to take care of her,"

"Oh, I'm so sorry to hear. But since she's out that's a good sign. She's recovering." I said to make her feel better. I know even though we weren't the best of friends, she still made me breakfast in the morning.

"No, It's bad. They didn't let her out because she's recovering but because she's dying," Ms. Wilson said in a sad voice.

"Oh..I'm so sorry. Go."

"Go?" she asked.

"Yes, Go. Be with your mother and your sister they need you. I'll make my own breakfast." I said to her. I didn't want her to believe that I was the reason why she can't see her mother before she passes away.

"What about lunch and dinner?"

"Ms. Wilson. I can cook. I will deal with those go be with your family. I don't have a family anymore but when I had one I'd do anything for them. Now they're all gone and didn't say goodbye. You have the time to spend with your mother before it's too late. Don't worry about Henrique or Mr. Carter. I'll take care of both of them for you because I know they are very important to you but blood is thicker than water. Go be with your family." I said trying to reassure her. She needed it. She just found out that the hospital sent her mother home so she can die there instance of the hospital. That was cruel. She as least deserves that.

"Okay. Thanks. I'll go and tell Alexander that I'm leaving,"

"No, no worried I'll tell him. Go be with your family."

She gave me a smile then left to be with her family.
