Mr. CEO's Young Mistress novel Chapter 13

Did that mean that he believed her?

Sharon bit her lower lip nervously and stared blankly at Leonard.

"What's wrong?" Leonard glanced at her.

Sharon immediately shook her head. "It's nothing."

......

At the main entrance of Bluesky University.

Watching the car disappear, Sharon immediately took out a phone from her pocket and called Melanie. "Melanie, I'm at the school gate."

"I'm on my way," Melanie replied.

Sharon hung up. Her head hung low as she waited for Melanie by the side of the road. Her mind kept going back to Leonard's expression when she had told him she was going to school for self-studying.

It seemed calm like usual, but something felt off to her.

"Sharon."

Melanie's voice came from afar.

Sharon looked up to see Melanie riding an electric scooter towards her.

Sharon smiled as she watched the scooter stop in front of her.

"What do you think? Isn't it cool?" Melanie proudly patted the dashboard and asked, raising her eyebrows.

Sharon just gave a nonchalant chuckle.

"Humph!" Melanie rolled her eyes and passed a helmet to Sharon.

Sharon accepted it. She put it on and got onto the scooter.

Melanie started the scooter and said, "The rest of the class already headed out. I called our class monitor just now, and he said that they were almost there."

"Alright." Sharon nodded. "Melanie, I didn't bring anything with me. Should we buy some things before we go?"

"Don't worry about it. The others already bought all the ingredients for the barbeque. So, bringing yourself is more than enough." Melanie's voice rang out clearly over the wind.

Sharon blinked. "Okay, then."
