Mr. Williams Wants His Ex-Wife Back novel Chapter 162

Rebecca didn't know how she got back to Skyline No.1. The huge apartment remained empty and quiet when she was back. Neither Adam nor Linda came back.

She didn't call Adam. Instead, she sat on the carpet in front of the French window in the living room and looked out the window. The sun gradually rose above her head and then slowly set to the west. Sitting in front of the French window, she waited quietly over six hours from the morning until the afternoon.

The night enveloped the bustling city at six o'clock. The street lights were gradually lit. Rebecca suddenly heard a click. The door opened.

The apartment was dim without lights on. However, Rebecca, who had adapted to the darkness, could tell at a glance that Adam and Linda came back.

More specifically, Adam came back with Linda in his arms.

Adam opened the door and stopped at the entrance as if he had sensed something. Under the faint light pouring in from the window, he looked over and saw the person sitting in front of the large French window in the living room look at him.

That was Rebecca. Adam knew it.

Their sights met in the darkness in silence.

There was the sound of a snap.

Just as Adam was looking at Rebecca, Linda reached out and turn on the luxurious crystal chandelier in the living room suddenly. Dazzling lights pierced Rebecca's eyes. She was extremely uncomfortable and narrowed her eyes and turned her head away.

But Adam didn't. He stood at the entrance with Linda in his arms. He still looked at the delicate woman sitting in front of the French window without moving.

Noticing Adam's unusual behavior, Linda followed his gaze. When she saw Rebecca sitting in front of the window, her originally gentle eyes were immediately filled with hatred and anger. She grabbed Adam's windbreaker with both hands and said with hatred and grievance, "Adam, Rebecca is a murderer. Trust me! I miscarried because she pushed me."

Her voice finally brought Adam back to his senses. He stopped staring at Rebecca and then silently held Linda and walked towards the stairs.

"Adam, we need to talk." Rebecca had adjusted to the bright light. She looked up at Adam again and said calmly.

Hearing her words, Adam froze.

"Adam, she killed our child. You can't just let her go." Holding Adam's windbreaker tightly, Linda trembled in his arms, crying and pleading.

Adam did not look at Linda. He just held her, turned around, and walked to the sofa in the living room.

"Adam..." Looking at Adam, who had no reaction at all, Linda cried out again, her voice full of pleading.

Adam carried her to the sofa, put her down, looked at her calmly, and finally said, "Sit here. Don't talk. I won't let you down."

"Okay." Linda looked at him with tears all over her face and nodded.

Rebecca stood up and looked at them. Then, she walked towards them.

"We need to talk." Standing in front of the sofa, Rebecca repeated her words to Adam, who was staring at her.

"About what?" Adam said coldly.

Rebecca looked back at him and didn't care about his indifferent attitude at all. She just smiled and said, "I'm sorry. I didn't expect my existence to hurt you and Miss Green so much, but I really want to go to Paris. Could you call Professor Talty again and tell him that you have agreed to let me go to Paris, please?"

"Why should I?" He looked at Rebecca, who just gave him a rather indifferent apology, with the intense anger raging in his chest. He gritted his teeth and stared at Rebecca Smith with bloodshot eyes, questioning her coldly word by word. "Rebecca Smith, why should I?"
