My extraordinary wife novel (Ashlyn and Lucas) novel Chapter 351

Chapter 351

“Grandma, are you asking money for him?” Ashlyn could feel her heart sink slowly.

Two million was nothing for her, but that request of Susan went straight into her heart like an iron shard.

Susan knew how Horace and Mary abused her since young.

But she was right. Horace was still Ashlyn’s father.

Do I deserve to get leeched off by those ingrates because I’m related to him? She thought angrily.

Susan’s heart wrenched when she noticed Ashlyn’s expression had darkened.

She knew her granddaughter listened to her because she had brought her up.

Susan didn’t want to hurt Ashlyn, but her son was in trouble. She couldn’t bring herself to see her son being pressured by those loan sharks.

In the end, she exhaled heavily and said nothing.

When Lucas and Spencer entered the ward, they were observant enough to detect an odd silence hanging in the air.

Spencer hurriedly left the gifts on the ground and retreated to the door.

Ashlyn was already annoyed, so his arrival merely intensified her annoyance.

“Why are you here?”

“Lucas has been visiting me every day. When you were busy, he chatted with me to relieve my boredom,” Susan hurriedly explained.

Lucas glanced at Susan approvingly.

“Grandma, how do you feel today?”

To ease the tension in the air, Susan looked at Ashlyn before turning to Lucas. “Not bad. Lucas, you should stop bringing me gifts. You’ve brought a lot for the past few days.”

She was obviously defending Lucas.

Ashlyn was surprised to hear Lucas had been coming to visit her grandmother every day.

Well, well. Since when is he that free?

Looking up, Ashlyn met his deep gaze, which was like a whirlpool sucking her in.

Lucas acted like a kid waiting to get praised in kindergarten, but his words were humble. “It’s my duty to spend time with Grandma.”

Ashlyn was speechless.

Is this shameless person Lucas Nolan?
