My Mommy’s Brave Heart (Adina and Duke) novel Chapter 103

Chapter 103 When Alden was growing up, Flint was in their lives almost every day.

Sometimes when his mom was busy, Uncle Flint would come over and send them to school. He would always bring them out. Many neighbors had also misunderstood that Uncle Flint was their father. He knew that they would return to Sea City one day, so he never dared to think about it too much.

However, a few days ago, Uncle Flint had suddenly reappeared in their world. Alden had been wondering if Uncle Flint married his mother, would there be one more person who could protect his mother?

But now, his fantasy had shattered into pieces. Uncle Flint had gotten involved with another woman and even asked his mom to help him out. Alden really regretted calling Flint “Dad” the other day. He moved forward and nonchalantly said, “Mom, you can go ahead and do other things. I’ll help Uncle Flint clean up.” While Adina was more than irritated with Flint, she did not want her son to take over. She twisted a towel as she said, “It’s late. You should go to bed now.” “Mom, Mel just said that she’s hungry. Please cook something for her. You can leave this to me,” Alden said calmly. Clearly, Melody’s needs were also a priority.

Adina threw the towel aside before she went to the kitchen. Alden took the towel and pressed it strongly on Flint’s face. Flint was intoxicated, so he had fallen asleep in a drunken stupor. However, he was awakened when the towel began to suffocate him. “Alden, what are you doing? Do you know you nearly suffocated me?” Alden calmly said, “Uncle Flint, you’ve been in Sea City for three days. Please go back to Anbarica tomorrow.” Due to his calm expression, Flint did not catch some of his emotions. Flint held his dizzy head and unhappily said, “Alden, your mother hasn’t chased me away. What are you trying to do?”

“If you stay in Sea City, you’ll cause trouble Mom. She has to work and take care of me as well as Mel. She has too much work to do.”
