Arabella heard the melodious ring of a mobile phone at the other end, and Kenneth answered it before it rang again. Arabella almost suspected that he had been waiting for her call all the time.

However, Kenneth did not speak after the phone was answered.

Arabella lowered her eyes and asked, "Mr. Lucero, why don't you talk?"

Kenneth finally said in a deep and magnetic voice with slight hoarseness, "I thought you wouldn't call me again."
