The Contract Lover (Nina Morrison and Lucien Gray) novel Chapter 50

Chapter 50 It's Like a Lie

Lucien peers into Nina's eyes, hoping to see resentment or resistance in her eyes.

But she's disappointed. Her eyes are as calm as a fountain, without any movement. Lucien Gray's words don't seem to have touched her.

Listening to Lucien Gray, Fiona Turner sits triumphantly on the sofa and holds out an elegant hand to Nina. She says, "That would be very kind of you."

Nina lowers her eyes and reaches out to help Fiona Turner massage. Although the heart wants to break Fiona's delicate wrist with force, she can't.

She begs Lucien to do what she has to do.

"Oh! Will you be quiet? You are killing me!" In fact, Nina's movements are very gentle, but Fiona Turner exaggerates the pain of the voice.

"I am sorry! I will be a little lighter." Nina acts as the perfect maid.

Lucien suddenly feels dull. One pulls up Fiona, goes outside the door, "Go to the Night bar!"

He doesn't know why he is so upset to see Nina act like she doesn't care. Maybe it is time to have fun. He has been living an almost ascetic life since he met Nina. Women have not touched him in a long time.

Lucien and Fiona hug each other and walks out. There is only silence.

As Nina caresses her small, fast-growing life in her belly, she suddenly feels a deep sense of loss and fear.
