The Contract Lover (Nina Morrison and Lucien Gray) novel Chapter 83

Chapter 83 Lived Long Enough

Nina stops at the door. The atmosphere is terrible. She wants to turn around and escape.

But Lucien looks up at the door. When he finds Nina standing at the door, his eyes are filled with anger.

His eyes are as sharp as a knife.

Nina is guilty. Lucien's eyes scare her back a step.

Lucien doesn't get up and sits angrily on the sofa. He looks at Nina. Nina is shaken by his eyes. She instinctively hugs Snowball in her arms.

Snowball can't breathe. It barks.

"Where have you been?" Lucien's tone is bland, but Nina recognizes his ferocity and anger. Nina bites her lip and loses the courage to lie.

This man is terrible. If he finds out that she lies, she will only die worse!

"Nina, speak!" Lucien says word for word. He is furious.

Nina can't say nothing. Lucien is on the verge of rage.

Nina takes a deep breath. She clenches her fist and plucks up courage to come to him. She just wants to say that she was sneaking back when the kidnappers didn't notice, but suddenly she sees some pictures on the tea table in front of Lucien!

The biggest and most striking is the picture of her walking with Andrew on the beach. The angle of the picture is strange. Nina, who is full of worries, is photographed beautifully. There is even a faint smile on her face.

Nina is suddenly at a loss. Since Lucien sees the pictures of them walking on the private beach, he must have seen the pictures of her and Andrew saying goodbye in the downtown.

It will be ridiculous if she now says she has sneaked back from the kidnappers. That's insulting Lucien's IQ.

What should she say? Nina's panicked. She doesn't know what excuses she has to use to convince Lucien.

"Nina, I ask you for the last time. Where have you been?" Lucien looks up at her coldly. His face is gloomy. His eyes are red.

Nina takes a deep breath and simply replies, "I was kidnapped by the kidnappers and saved by Andrew. Andrew stayed me at his house all night because I was scared and not feeling well."

Nina's voice sounds calm. In fact, her heart is very nervous. It's like hundreds of fawn trying to hit her.

"And then?" Lucien reaches for the pictures on the tea table and looks at them indifferently.

"Then I thought I was better and he sent me back." Nina almost believes her words.

"Nina! Do you think I'm a fool? Why did the man buy you a dress last time? Why did he just save you this time? You spent the night in the villa with him?" Lucien rises abruptly. His blood red eyes glare at her. He smashes the pictures in his hand on her head!

"Ah..." Nina is unprepared and hit. The sharp pain spreads all over her body.

"Nina! You are bolder and bolder!" Lucien raises his foot and kicks on the tea table in front of him! The tea table is broken. The police and bodyguards around him dare not speak.

Nina's face is pale. Her big black eyes look at Lucien in horror. The man is terrible when he is angry. She is really scared.

"Nina! Why don't you explain! Aren't you smart! Why don't you speak!" Lucien yells. He comes to Nina and squeezes her jaw. Nina screams. It hurts too much! She feels her chin crumbling!

"He is my former neighbor. It's not what you think." Nina explains incoherently, shrinking back in fear.
