"Thank you."

Although Pearl thanked Richard, he had no intention to let her go. Pearl gritted her teeth and struggled. Then a cold voice rang her ears, "There are so many people here. Are you planning to tell everyone the truth that I'm not your fiance?"

She froze and stopped.

Gossip was a terrible thing, especially when it came from your relatives and friends. Earlier, she felt like a century had passed when everyone was criticizing her, and she never wanted to experience it again.

Richard wanted to question her more but an old man's voice suddenly joined, "Mr. Zellweger."

It was Pearl's father.

After chatting with the relatives, Anthony finally had time to meet this 'son-in-law' who appeared out of the blue.

Richard's dark eyes became composed again. "Uncle."

"You and Pearl," Anthony started hesitantly. He checked around with the corner of his eyes and made sure that there were no other relatives except his family members around. Then he continued, "Are you really Pearl's boyfriend?"

"Dad." Pearl chipped in hurriedly from Richard's back, "Later I'll explain this..."

"Yes." Richard firmly replied, which made Pearl swallow her words.

Evelina's face changed. She stepped forward and retorted swiftly, "How could it be possible? Mr. Zellweger, as I know your fiancee is..."

"Miss Yonng!" Before Evelina could finish her sentence, Richard interrupted her. He said coldly, "You're a public figure. Please be careful with your behavior. Destroying your sister's reputation won't do any good to the Yonng family."

"Is that true?" Richard stared at Evelina coldly and asked, "The who brought the kids here?"
