Second Marriage novel Chapter 224

Charlotte looked up at her lips and sneered, "We aren’t as rich as you. And we paid for lunch. What does our lunch have anything to do with you?"

And Charlotte believed that if something had indeed happened downstairs and that everyone was staring at her who was completely ignorant with such a contemptuous look, then she was sure that by the time after she finished her lunch, the one enjoying the show downstairs wouldn’t have left yet. In her estimation, the fuss would last for a whole day.

Since the ones downstairs wouldn’t leave, she would just enjoy the lunch as well before going over there.

As Yanis enjoyed the lunch quite depressedly, she asked in a small voice, "Why aren't you in a hurry at all? As for what's happening downstairs, I can’t be more curious about it. And I surely wasn’t in a mood for any food."

Charlotte replied unconsciously, "Even though you aren’t in a good mood, you have to eat something. After all, it is unknown if you need to use your physical strength later or not."

Yanis instantly got her point and nodded, "You're right. We probably will need to fight later! I haven't fought for a long time. And suddenly, I'm so excited."

Charlotte was at a loss for words.

She, who almost choked herself, glanced at Yanis helplessly, "Why are you so naughty?"

"I am just like this.."

However, Charlotte probably didn't expect that she would indeed have made the right choice to have lunch. Because she did indeed have to use her strength after she went downstairs later on.

Originally, the reason why Jessica had come over this time was that she intended to make trouble. But she didn't expect the two of them to be so calm. Standing next to them, she suddenly felt embarrassed. And she glared at Charlotte in anger, "I'll see if you can still be so calm after you are downstairs later!"

After saying that, Jessica turned around angrily and left.

After she left, Yanis spat her tongue at her back view, indicating that she didn’t take her seriously at all.

Charlotte helplessly lowered her eyes and continued to enjoy her meal.

The two of them had lunch slowly and methodically. Seeing them look like this, outsiders were anxious for them. However, the two of them acted as if nothing had happened, acting more calmly than anyone else did.

When they finished lunch, ten minutes had passed. Yanis packed up her things, "So we're going downstairs now, right?"

Charlotte took a tissue to wipe the corner of her mouth and nodded, "Yes. Let's go downstairs."

The two of them finished packing up their things and went downstairs. As the two of them were having lunch, others who wanted to enjoy the show also sped up and finished their food. Seeing them going downstairs, they hurried up to pack up their things as well and followed them downstairs, intending to watch a good show.

After all, human beings were born to be so gossipy.

As Yanis accompanied Charlotte downstairs, she glanced at the ones behind them and asked in a low voice, “Is everything indeed okay? I see they have been following us. And it is unknown what the situation downstairs is. How about I go downstairs first to help you check the situation in advance?"

"You don’t need to act so troublesomely. As for what is going on downstairs, we will know after we see it in person." Charlotte was eager to know what on earth had happened, making others treat her as a mistress.

In her opinion, the word "mistress" would never be connected with her. And… If there were indeed some connections, she was the one that had been wronged by a mistress.

Aldrich’s matter was a perfect example.

At the thought of Aldrich, Charlotte paused her pacers all of a sudden and recalled the fact that Aldrich had come to beg her and asked her to stop targeting her some while ago. Back then, she had been quite confused. Based on the current situation, the ones who held a grudge against her probably would be Aldrich and the mistress who showed up in public without any guilt, Maggie.

Yanis realized that something was wrong with her and inquired, “What's wrong?"

Hearing that, Charlotte came to her senses, "Nothing. I just think I probably know who the one that came to make trouble downstairs is."

Yanis asked curiously, “Who is it?"

Charlotte smiled lightly, "If I'm not wrong, it should only be that one that would do so."

"... What? Why are you acting mysteriously? After all, I don’t know who the one that you mentioned is."
