Second Marriage novel Chapter 321

Charlotte blinked her eyes and her long eyelashes flickered. She thought for a moment.

“You knew that I was going to see Manfred. Why didn't you tell me? I wasn't trying to hide it from you!”

She bit her lower lip with remorse.

She had wondered why he was so angry. And when he asked her, his expression and eyes were strange, so she kept worrying about it, and that was why she went to the party in hurry.

But she didn't know so many things were going to happen.

“Not trying to hide it from me?” Kennedy vision mockingly fell on her face, “You liar, what did you tell me before going out? You said you got a date with Yanis and didn’t want to break your promise. You told Nathan that you would arrive at the party on time. And? You didn't show up all night!”

“I was there!” Charlotte defended herself. “I did go there that night, but there was an accident, so I was late. And that night I did go to see Yanis. Although I met Manfred, Yanis was there! I didn’t lie you!”

“Then why didn't you tell me the truth?”

Charlotte excused herself very loudly, and Kennedy’s query voice got louder.

Charlotte was overwhelmed by his loud voice and stared at him for a long time. Then she lowered her eyes and said feebly, “It was my fault that I shouldn't hide it from you... I didn't want to hide that from you, but... I'm afraid you'll misunderstand me if I tell you.”

The relationship between her and Manfred was sensitive, so she did not dare to mention it to Kennedy.

“That's a good reason.” Kennedy sneered.

Charlotte raised her head and looked at him, “I didn't handle that well. I apologize to you. Kennedy...I......”

She could not say the last word.

Charlotte felt so hard. She took a deep breath and looked at him quietly.

His eyes were still cold.

In the face of such Kennedy, Charlotte felt that her courage was slowly slipping away. She was afraid if... if she didn't say it, would she have courage to say it in the future?

Thinking of this, Charlotte bit her teeth and said, “Kennedy, we...”

“We get divorce.”

Kennedy interrupted her.

Charlotte froze.

“You've been given that contract. Didn't you always want it? Now, as you wish, you take the contract and leave. You can stay with whoever you want. It has nothing to do with me.”

Charlotte widened her eyes in surprise.

“Are you -- are you serious? You're not just mad at me. You...You really want to divorce me?”

Kennedy smiled, “Do you think I am making a joke?”

Charlotte could not speak, as if something had blocked her throat.

“Leave, it's not suitable for you. Charlotte, you married for your sister, didn’t you? Now you are free.”

These words cut through Charlotte's heart like a knife.

He said indifferently, but she could not accept it.

With that, Kennedy turned around and rolled the wheel to leave.

Charlotte suddenly got up and jumped down on the sofa with bare feet to block him. “You're trying to drive me away. Don't you like me at all? Kennedy, you asked me to trust you and now you drive me away, how can I trust you?”

Kennedy’s eyes were cold, “Whatever.”
